Those two playoff appearances resulted in two quick exits and an overall record of 2-6.

You are free to take that of course if you wish.

But given the comments about "talk to me after the parade," and "we want to compete for multiple championships" that's a poor substitute.

Our tank job was disgusting. If we'd have kept Sale with Abreu and run an organization like most other ones (prospects, spending a little bit of cash)  we wouldn't have needed no stinkin' rebuild/tank job. The way the Sox run rebuilds ... you have ZERO good players on your team while you languish. Crochet is gone so we allegedly have one good player left on our roster (Robert; Beni is at least worthy of a big league uniform).

We also would have had two MVP level talents in Semien and Tatis, but never would have extended them.

Not counting the 1950's and 60's, 2000-2012 is going to go down as the longest record of sustained/sustainable success in White Sox history (under KW).  Seven "really competitive" (85 wins and above) seasons out of 13, or roughly 1/2th the time.   Only one really poor year (2007), unfortunately it followed the biggest year in history for franchise attendance and pretty much destroyed any momentum and 2005/06 teams had generated.   Even then, 2010 and 2012 were "fun/competitive" years.   Now it seems like a miracle just to get back to 60 wins, let alone .500ish.

I would bet on the Sox to go over 49.5 wins, but I will never put a gambling app on my phone. (what could go wrong?)

Las Vegas isn't an option, are there any walk-up places to place this bet in Illinois?

Not sure how IL works, but every Indiana casino has a sportsbook built into it.

I did not know that, I haven't been in a casino in over 25 years. I will check out the Des Plaines casino.
