WestEddy
The Brewers used Wilson differently for a while. In alternate starts, Jerod Koenig would pitch the first inning, then Wilson would come in and pitch 5. He seemed to be a bit more effective pitching the 2nd through the 6th innings than being the true starter. game logs: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=wilsobr02&t=p&year=2024 Edited December 19 by WestEddy
FT35
If he’s awful, they’ll just let him play out another punt year here. If he’s amazing, he could end up flipped to the Dodgers at the deadline for…well…no one actually.

Trying to contemplate how a guy that signed for $1.05 million will perform.

CWSpalehoseCWS
This is a very low-risk move. If Bannister see's something in him, then let's give it a chance. Exact type of move Getz should be looking at for the MLB level.

hogan873
We often see these beefy pitchers able to stay healthy...by healthy I mean not getting hurt and missing time. So, that could bode well, at least.
almagest
Really good numbers in 2023, decent last year. Had a nice postseason. Wonder if Walker McKinven also vouched for him.

greg775
Maybe the Sox will strike gold with some pitcher acquisitions like KC did last offseason. Last to first baby? Kidding but what if this is just a start to signing a batch of arms?

Look back at his playoff start against the Dodgers. Wilson has lights out stuff when it’s working, and is a great project for Bannister to work on.” Dude sounds like he is familiar with this Wilson cat - and if this sentiment is true, this is exactly the type of guy we should be signing. Informative siphoning of MLBTR. I thought I was going to read all jokes.
