PaleAleSox
Made his MLB debut last year at 32 but put up .8 WAR which is probably better than any Sox reliever last year?
Chicago White Sox
32 year old, left handed reliever. Quit baseball at the age of 26 and became a carpenter. Sat out for four seasons before finally coming back after figuring some life s%*# out and getting healthier. Made it the majors last year with Boston and was somewhat productive as a reliever for them. Appears to have five or six years of control remaining. ChiSoxFanMike
I didn’t have trading for a 32 year old reliever on my bingo card this offseason. 3

Timmy U
Sox roster was at 40, so we will see a corresponding move. After watching Ely kinda hate filling up 40 man with marginal relievers from other teams rather than giving our marginal relievers a shot.

Yep, just what this team needs. More old players like Tauchman and Slater. Edited Saturday at 10:21 PM by WhiteSox2023

It’s a controllable, left handed reliever who can be flipped at the deadline if he’s any good. Bannister must really like him for us to be targeting him. Honestly, it just comes down to the price. Age doesn’t really matter all that much given this dude’s circumstances.
WhiteSox2023
Boston’s return is supposedly an unnamed minor league pitcher. Also, Robert Murray thinks he’s a funny guy… Edited Saturday at 10:59 PM by WhiteSox2023

caulfield12
Thought it was Carlos Boozer's son and a basketball player but alas. Maybe the plan is turning over bullpen 100% every year.

Yeah, he was the other bad lefty reliever that Getz traded a second round draft pick for and then dumped for cash two months later. Maybe, but he wasn’t good at all recently either in the minors from 2022 to 2024 with both Texas and Boston after returning from the independent leagues. Sure looks fluky to me. It’s actually surprising Boston even called him up. Edited Saturday at 10:56 PM by WhiteSox2023
