I feel like the bit is getting tired and they've run out of ideas. They can only milk the celebrity appearances and homoeroticism for so long. Don't have the staying power of the Globetrotters. Can't even dance. I think they're going to start a Barstool-esque network pretty soon.

I don't think Sox fans are going to rain on your parade and feels your pain.  The Sox fan would use "smarter" instead of " better" and it would be geared towards Cub fans and the media. 

Sox fan - think they are smarter fan for not supporting terrible baseball

Cub fan - think they deserve a title as the better fan because Wrigley Field is sold out

I think this is a given, the bananas are pretty much sold out everywhere they tour.  My buddy tried to get tickets and he didn’t make the cut on the waiting list

I can do that at the Lucky Horseshoe Lounge on Halsted and it's free and the drinks might be free. The Sox and Bananas could never. I might recommend a baseball theme night. Likely Cubs fans, unfortunately.

I just watched a bunch of videos of them on YouTube and I think @nrockway is pretty spot on.

I would go to a game, but just like Medieval Times, it would get old quickly and once would be enough.

Seems like they are very obviously marketing to a specific segment of people — men and women that like to watch young athletic guys dance and sing, along with bringing their children that will enjoy the spectacle over “slow, long, and boring” MLB baseball.  There’s nothing wrong with that, but let’s call a spade a spade…

The trick plays are cool.  Other than that, I could see it getting old like everything else — Harlem Globetrotters, Medieval Times, etc.

Just modern-day, repackaged Bill Veeck and son...but still more entertaining the first time around than another 100+ loss Sox season without a star in sighr.

The second iteration of something unique like that (Bananas) is always going to be a pure money grab, like Squid Game 2.

I mean, medieval times is still packing them in and globetrotters have been around for 98 years, so I guess getting old is fine.  I never said tune into every bananas game like it’s a pennant race, I said going to a game would be a blast
