It is a fine buy-low attempt. I wonder who gets DFA’d to make room? My guess is Scholtens or Amaya, but players they don’t like, e.g. Colas, are suddenly in the picture. Then let Rojas split time between 3rd/2nd/OF with Ramos/Sosa getting most of the playtime, but Rojas playing 3/4 or so times a week around the diamond. No player worth anything wants to sign with this organization when it’s been in such disarray over the past few seasons. The bat leaves a lot to be desired though, which is likely why the M's non-tendered him. I wonder how he’ll be used.
