A deal could form around an OF prospect (DePaula/Sirota), one of their young Latin SSs (Vargas/Morales) the pick, and maybe even a 40 man guy they want to free up or a guy almost out of options. Sirota is not in the same category as those guys

DePaula is worth considerably more than Sirota. And honestly, we took Nick McClain like nine picks before Sirota (despite what I’d argue a lesser pedigree) and paid him mostly similar money. I’m just not sure that our front office likes Sirota all that much. The pick could definitely be of interest though and had the Dodgers not brought back Teoscar I think you could have been on something here. I think this is simply the Dodgers selling high on Lux’s big second half and adding additional assets they can cash in at a later date. Bob Sacamano Posted yesterday at 02:25 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:25 AM I think people here in mock trades picked the Comp Balance pick and Sirota as pieces in a Robert deal. With someone like Arroyo of course. Too bad.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Getz would jump on a one-for-one swap of Robert if offered, while dumping Robert’s salary for Jerry. I don’t see it happening though since the Dodgers are already stacked. Edited yesterday at 02:28 AM by WhiteSox2023
SoCalChiSox Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM CIN sure are loading up on infielders....does this mean they are ready to trade us Arroyo now?

My guess is that was never on the table or else Getz would have jumped on that.

Jack of all trades/utility role envisioned. Doesn't seem like Cincy has any plans to repackage him at all. Dealt India to demonstrate faith in McLain leading team again like he did two seasons ago...opened up second base officially.

Well, any team in baseball could use 2023 Robert...but Edman promises less volatility and fits their team well as proven in the post season already. Not "needing" a very good player has never really stopped LAD before. I wouldn't rule them out, though I'd still hold Robert for now if I were Getz. Bob Sacamano
If Kim sucks or there are injuries, Edman could move to 2B and they can be an option for Robert. Feel like Robert to LAD is more likely in the summer than now.

Assuming he is healthy and ready for Opening Day, Roster Resource currently has Lux at 2B, McClain at SS, and Elly at 3B.
Harold's Leg Lift
Really good deal for both sides. It's disappointing when they miss out on great opportunities.

Where would Lux play for the White Sox? His best position is second...and that's precisely where we have the most prospect depth currently. And you'd be flipping him at trade deadline 2026 or extending him?
