What Karinchak posted had more to do with how people will fall in line and do potentially questionable things if they are feared into it, when referencing Covid and vaccines.  Probably not the wisest of choices to quote Goering but it doesn’t mean that Karinchak is a Nazi/holocaust supporter.

Probably not the wisest choice to quote a Nazi? Ya don't say.

Aren’t you the same guy who defended the Sox signing of Clevinger twice?  WestEddy should give you another heart for that.

What in the world are you even going on about? If somebody quotes a Nazi to burnish their own misguided anti-vaxxer BS, don't defend them. That's a pretty simple rule to live by.

Clevinger was falsely accused and his name was cleared. Clevinger is a moron, but it's not like he's walking around quoting Nazi's.

Clevenger's a jagoff. He probably won't pitch in MLB again, and that's great for the people of Earth. His name wasn't cleared. The more you defend this guy, the more I think you think women should get beat up, and then shut up. Seriously, if you're such an incel that you take the side of a serial abuser, then maybe you should stop typing, and try to meet some women who would tolerate you until you pick up a clue from them about how people should treat each other.

So, by defending a person who was falsely accused of domestic violence, I'm pro domestic violence? That makes sense.

Why are you saying "falsely accused"? Please tell us what you know about this case that completely exonerates Clevenger. If you say that MLB "completely exonerated him", you're lying. MLB is not a court of law. As an employer, they can only conclude that whatever evidence exists does not clear the bar for further suspension. There are women in my life who decided to not pursue rape charges because they knew that it would be her word against his. Again, to keep repeating the same stupidity says to me that you have no respect for the word of women.

Balta? Isn't he the guy that ran and hid from the board because he was proven wrong about Clevinger.

Mike Clevinger was not proved innocent and you are choosing your words very carefully so as to lie.

He was not suspended. We do not know what went into this determination. We do know that interviewing witnesses half a year after an incident is a terrible investigative practice and we know that happened in that case.

Why the investigation was not handled promptly when the report came in and was seemingly only done when the victim went public should seem like a major question to anyone who has an issue with domestic abuse. As an outside observer, I feel that should absolutely color any views of what his lack of suspension means.

we also know that Clevinger continued contacting the victim while a member of the white Sox and somehow dragged teammates into this, including Oscar colas, which is super f***ed up and should really have told everyone to stay away.

Guilty, not guilty, innocent, falsely accused…

Taylor damn sure isn’t a lawyer by trade because it’s pretty obvious he doesn’t know the definition of any of these words.

Yes, while it’s possible that the female who accused Clevinger was lying, Clevinger was never “proven” to be “falsely accused”, and damn sure not by an “MLB investigation”.  🤣

He was investigated by law enforcement and it was concluded that charges were unwarranted. MLB investigated the claims and found they had no merit. Clevinger was accused, investigated vigorously and cleared of any wrongdoing. By all metrics, Clevinger was falsely accused. Literally nobody who actually investigated the claims found merit in them. I live in a world where due process and justice should matter. If only thousands upon thousands of black men were given the same dignity.

Nothing you cited supports your opinion that the accusations were proven false.

OK, fine, but your "belief" in her story doesn't make the guy guilty (in any sense of the word) of the accusations. It's just your belief...

as is the belief that he was exonerated.

What I can tell you is that no other team wanted him at any price, he managed to drag the organization and even his fellow players into his personal matters all before Getz signed him, all of which should be sickening. The fact that Colas was somehow roped into this as a rookie should be completely disqualifying even if Clevinger was falsely accused.

Furthermore, in terms of the actual allegation, there was at least one other woman we found out about last year who had issues with Clevinger as is commonly the case with domestic abusers - they don’t do it only once. Furthermore, in terms of him not being suspended, an investigation conducted 6 months or more after the event is challenging and basically set up to fail, as memory doesn’t work that way. Finally, it takes a ton of bravery for a woman to come forwards and publicly make an abuse accusation against a rich public figure, because the deck will be stacked against them and people will claim that their accuser is “exonerated” even if it’s a he-said she said case and she’s fully telling the truth but it can’t be fully proven.

Thus, I see zero reason to believe that a lack of charges is an actual exoneration, and I find the accuser much more credible.
