bmags
Can't say I'm surprised, I had a hard time justifying him as a top prospect after a full 1.5 years struggling. Signs of life at the end of the year, but he needs to show he can hit velocity and be more consistent. The Quero / Teel was nice, he called Quero a no-doubter behind the plate. Though believing in their bats, neither seem to be likely to produce big power there. Braden was a great write-up, and he thinks he'll be at least a 55 in right. Here was quero's Quero remains a solid-average defender with an average arm, still working on some of the finer points of the position but also a no-doubt catcher whose bat looks like it’ll make him a regular there. He may be better off in some kind of soft platoon role, depending on how much of the improvement against righties was real, but there’s still everyday ceiling here. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6078454/2025/01/27/top-100-mlb-prospects-2025-keith-law/
Quin
If KW is gone, why does Law still hate the White Sox? But in all seriousness, I really, really hope Colson shows up in the make or break year. He's eerily trending down the Moncada path: left-handed (yes, I know Moncada is a switch-hitter, strikes out looking, back pain) and it scares me.
