WhiteSox2023
LOL. More washed up vets!!! I absolutely love how the Sox sign these guys a year or two after they are proven to be done, just because they can finally sign them for a pittance. greg775
Joey Gallo hit 10 homers in 223 at bats last year; he could lead us in homers. Sox are the oldest young team in baseball history. ... Seriously why not fricking bring Abreu back if Gallo is gonna get a lot of playing time? Abreu probably could hit 25 homers in 2024-25 with our Sox. 1

caulfield12
Let's see if we can somehow manage to achieve the oldest (and cheapest) line-up in baseball... DH Joey Gallo amazing he's still only 31, seems that he's been around at least five more years promoted as two-time GOLD GLOVE winner (LOL now) and Boras CORP client https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=479ac06929fde3e730d237f1f38de3ed29776ae41e52d034515bdf2def1b03d4JmltdHM9MTczOTQwNDgwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=03c24136-0107-6bcf-19e3-529f00f66aa7&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubWxidHJhZGVydW1vcnMuY29tLzIwMjUvMDIvd2hpdGUtc294LXNpZ24tam9leS1nYWxsby10by1taW5vci1sZWFndWUtZGVhbC5odG1s&ntb=1 LF Tauchman 34 RF Slater 32 3B Rojas Josh (a relatively spry 30) CF Michael A. Taylor 33, 34 on Opening Day C Matt Thaiss a spry 29, which is like 34 for a catcher, lol 2B Brandon Drury just 32, turns 33 at the end of the season 1B Andrew Vaughn 26, 27 on Opening Day P Martin Perez 33, 34 on Opening Day SS Jacob Amaya 26 1/2 Bench Luis Robert 27 1/2 (too young to play) Corey Lee 26 1/2 Andrew Benintendi 30 1/2 (barely younger than Joey Gallo, haha) I'm giving up here....maybe Moustakas or Hosmer can come back? Alex Gordon? No more ex-Royals? Edited February 14 by caulfield12

caulfield12
Palka 1 HR per 17.3 career at-bats (29/501) Gallo 1 HR per 13.3 career at-bats (208/2869) Gallo with a 775 career OPS and a .319 career OBP...well, PALKA never came CLOSE to winning ONE Gold Glove, let alone TWO. But okay. Well, that would have been the best hitter on the White Sox last year. Feel like I've typed that sentence numerous times...if only Gallo were STILL that player, we might actually have something. Nomar Shamir Mazara Jiminián (born April 26, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball right fielder for the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League. Still available. Adam Eaton's retired. https://www.mlb.com/player/luis-gonzalez-670768 Last played in 2022...listed most recently with the Yankees. https://www.thebaseballcube.com/content/player/194793/ Ended up at AAA with Scranton Wilkes-Barre/NYY. https://www.mlb.com/player/alex-call-669743 Still playing for the Nationals at age 30. Expand September proved to be their best month of the season as they went 10–15 and also had a record of 5–1 in their last 6 games, with their only loss coming from the aforementioned Tigers game. That would be 65-97 if they maintained that pace for AN ENTIRE SEASON. Of course, the Tigers didn't actually field competitive line-ups those last couple of games (after they clinched post-season positioning on FRI).
