I don't troll. Like or hate me I write how I feel as a life long Sox fan, a formerly proud Sox fan. The Sox have changed me for the worst. Ask fathom or caulfield how mad I'd get on here when our Sox lost to KC or the Cubs. Bitter anger.

I don't believe you.

There's a widespread right now, but still plenty of Sox hats in Brooklyn.

More interestingly: The number of '05 championship Sox hats I encounter on the subway.

The White Sox cap (traditional black with white letters) popularity greatly exceeds the popularity of the White Sox team.  I would say by quite a large margin.

Oh yeah, I've seen the standard around forever. I still do.

I just find it weird that I'm seeing the '05 edition more frequently.

September proved to be their best month of the season as they went 10–15 and also had a record of 5–1 in their last 6 games, with their only loss coming from the aforementioned Tigers game.

That would be 65-97 if they maintained that pace for AN ENTIRE SEASON.

Of course, the Tigers didn't actually field competitive line-ups those last couple of games (after they clinched post-season positioning on FRI).

They also closed with the second worst team.  Can’t count on that each month.

Just like last off season. Boring. If the team avoids losing 100, it will be considered a success. When will the Sox become a respectable team? When the club gets serious about acquiring real major league talent. I am not buying into this so-called rebuild. Been through it before. Even if there is success, it doesn't last long.

I like your posts 2023. But my point is if you have veteran placeholders make 'em former Sox players/pitchers. Nobody cares about somebody else's oldies making outs for our team. Did anybody pick up that guy who played OF for us last year, I forget his name.  He went to the Cardinals then went 3-for-3 in one of the playoff games I attended in KC last October.

Expand

With what we have read about the behind the scenes operations of this organization there’s a good chance none of the former players would want to come back.  Even Abreu took shots on his way out.  He probably wants to stay far away.

First time in my Sox fandom I have to study the roster, try to read mlb.com to learn who will be playing for us on a regular basis this season. I can't be the only Sox fan who needs a class in Sox 101 2025 team. It sickens and disgusts me. Am I alone here? Certainly some of you know some pretty darn good Sox fans of past years who have no idea who these current Sox stiffs and retreads who will take the field in 2025 are. If so please tell me I'm not alone! It sickens me to see who will comprise our infield this year and catcher positions. And the bullpen. Who are these no names and why did the Sox do this to their loyal fans.

I am a longtime Sox fan whether u believe it or not.  p.s. At least I've heard of Beni and Robert and Vaughn.

First post in the history of our long tenure here I might actually agree with you. Look at the top threads on the forum right now and it's like the season is months away instead of starting this week in earnest. It's really just sad how JR has killed the vibes before the season even starts. Now, maybe things get off to a good start and we don't totally suck. Then perhaps we'll get some excitement or at least tepid enthusiasm back into our Sox fandom.

But until that happens I don't see much to talk about or discuss and that is too bad.

"Beyond the Crochet blockbuster, the White Sox acted roughly as you’d expect a team in their position to act. They held on to their higher-profile trade candidate in Luis Robert Jr., hoping he can reestablish his value in 2025 and eventually net a Crochet-esque return in the not-so-distant future. They signed a handful of veterans on one-year deals, players who could be flipped in July to contenders seeking reinforcements. Their payroll has plummeted to one of the lowest marks in the league.

Hopefully the White Sox can avoid being historically awful again in 2025, but there is a lot more losing to come for this team. That’s by design, though, and the focus must remain on building an infrastructure at all levels of the organization that can better support a winning team at some point down the line. By those standards, this winter has generally gone according to plan." — Shusterman

M's and Padres an F but that would change after article written

Sox a B ranking

Will consider Wikkie Gonzalez the fourth best pitching prospect until proven otherwise.

Or fifth...if you include Burke.

Just a heads up, I'm going to go ahead and finally block you as I just can't take the sheer inanity of it anymore. It's like someone says I like turtles and you respond with the price of tea in China.

I give up too...the White Sox having nothing interesting going on has absolutely destroyed me as a fan.

I will come back whenever they have a .500 record at the trade deadline.

I will be happier simply playing fantasy baseball and following the rest of the teams in baseball that actually care about their fans.

Save your energy.

Maybe the Mariners will finally add some pitching.

For now, Padres and Dodgers at least have a plan to make the post season before 2027/28.

I will just read Fegan...that enough.
