I can't really help it if you don't want to devote time to anything besides your ridiculous self-righteous crusade against women...or generally accusing them of being groupies/gold-diggers.

That's a YOU issue.

“Sure, it’s part of the consideration because it has been associated with Clev,” Getz said. “With that being said, we’ve been around Clev for the last couple of years. I know how he is respected with his teammates and everyone in the clubhouse. Also, we’ve learned more about the situation and we are comfortable with it.”

The problem is that White Sox fans have also watched ‘Clev’ be around for the last couple years — barely in 2024 — and have seen no visible reward, whether in terms of team performance or trade value. There wasn’t a market for him when he was functional, and then he wasn’t functional, so there isn’t a reason to think that a third consecutive make-good contract will turn out any different from the first two."

There's also a funny line about basically losing 20 more games than the previous season for every Clevinger Year...heading for 21-141.

Also, Getz is not doing himself any favors.  Even if Clevinger is the All Star rep as a closer...

And Fegan, as usual, still has a sense of humor about this at least...

Three players over 30 are all trying to launch renaissance seasons with the White Sox, and this piece doesn’t even mention Mike Clevinger!

It’s 8 dollar Amtrak corona time for some of us!
I’m not going to be too critical of TaylorSt because, although I think it’s a weird hill to die on, I also live off Taylor street these days and he has historically made some pretty good posts.

Time for more important spring talking points...

“Just not as tight of shoes, because I usually tie them up pretty tight. Letting them go a little looser.”

Benintendi’s shoelaces are in the best shape of their lives!

Per James Fegan's spring training notes. Now we know it wasn't the wrist/hamate for the first 1 1/2 seasons of his contract.

Sox already have to find innings to ramp up 16 guys to starters in Spring. I have no idea why they would do this. Oh well, add it to the 99% of reality that I get no say in.

This may be a sign that Getz is worried that our pitching staff (without the young studs being ready) is putrid. I'm sure he'd like to win 45 games instead of 41 with our new manager.

That's right, we have a new manager

Lack of certainly about Thorpe's health??

Wilson and Perez at GRF are complete crapshoots.

Even Martin and Cannon aren't close to sure things.

Add it all up and you have an emergency band aid in case everything goes wrong with the rotation...along with Iriarte Adams Nastrini Carela Eder etc.

Have to get to at least 50 wins...although surely 60 would be preferred but seems highly highly unlikely.

54.5-107.5 sounds about right.

You just called Caufield "calm, cool and collected." He's the same poster that quit the board earlier this week and started posting again 6 hours later.

I know he’s not the same poster that dive bombs this board with stupid garbage about how Clevinger is innocent, how no Sox fan can question what Getz is doing, or question how amazing all of the Sox prospects are, or how if people say anything that you don’t like, you deem them racist.

You are a pathetic excuse maker, likely because your life or career sucks, so you have decided to troll other posters on this board to relieve your stress and anger.

Get out of your mom’s basement, stop gaming all night long, get an education, stop blaming everyone else for whatever race you are, and get a job that you enjoy.  You will be much happier with your life.  Good luck.

I sense some projection on your end. I'd argue that the vast majority of people overly sensitive to allegations of racism are, in fact, racist. If you called me racist, I'd laugh, probably not even address it, and forget about it in 5 minutes. Why? Because I'm not racist.

My Mom's a fantastic woman and I'm grateful she allows me to stay in her basement. 2840 S Calumet. Come over. We can have a couple drinks, I'll let you sit on my lap and let you tell me that Robin was the most underrated 3rd baseman of the 90's. Maybe Mom will grab a steak sandwich from Ricobene's that us poors with sucky careers will split with you. For the record, I didn't wake up to make this late night post. Mom and I got s%*# housed at Bernice's, ran up a massive bill, split on it and took off running. She fell over at the underpass and I had to leave her. She's a tough chick. She'll be fine. She better make some meatloaf when she i-bond's.

I don't make excuses for Getz. I wish he wasn't hired. I wish Jerry wasn't the owner. I love the idea of some billionaire buying the team and investing millions into the neighborhood, rebuilding and getting me and Mom out of the east side of the e-way. Until that happens, I recognize that Getz inherited the worst situation possible - an organization with little to no infrastructure, dated philosophies, relics for coaches, coming off an internal power struggle between the previous GM and President, and worst of all, a failed rebuild in which all but 1 player completely tanked their value (Cease). At least Getz is transparent about how much the job sucks and doesn't answer questions with trash like "stay out of White Sox business." He may have been the head of player development through it all, but he recognized that he didn't have the tools to compete and is doing everything in his power to change that. People fail. People make mistakes. People also learn and grow from those mistakes. Nobody knows how much the Sox need to change more than Getz. Even if he fails, we're back to where we've always been, me and Mom living in the Low End and the Sox being perpetually mediocre with a great logo and classy uniforms.

Mom and I will also show you how to sneak into the Wells side tunnels that open up under the bleachers. We haven't paid for a game in years. Hopefully she doesn't accidentally shoot herself this year. That was awkward.
