Expand Dan Gilbert has multiple titles and currently has rebuilt the Cavs into one of the best teams in the East if not the league, look at his ownership record come on man. The Suns are middling around .500 this season but the Ishbias have spent and have dealt with injuries, and haven’t been afraid to do things like acquire KD, previous two seasons have been playoffs. Expand All billionaires are terrible - no such thing as a good one - but at least the Ishbia brothers have shown a commitment to spending and making a splash in the NBA. Additionally they absolutely would not move the team from Chicago. My guess is Reifert is trying to downplay things so Ishbia can pick up the bulk of the non Reinsdorf shares right now without some of the minority owners going rogue. Expand If this was a massive trade during the Winter Meetings, this thread would be 10+ already. We are finally free of the Reinsdorf’s. I can’t even believe this s%*# is even real. I was worried that old f*** would live to 110 and I wouldn’t be able to enjoy White Sox baseball until my 60’s. Instead, we will soon enough have one of the richest owners in the sport who will likely do what’s needed to bring out the best of this franchise. It’s simply a dream come fucking true.
