All baseball franchises have increased tremendously in value. I wonder if someone looks at the purchase price and thinks they would spend another 100 million if the team won 70 games. Maybe 200 million more if they won 90? It seems like stadium deal, TV revenue, salaries, etc would have as much, or even more, affect on the sales price. Now a long tradition of success has a value, I'm not certain a couple winning seasons would get a buyer to forget the past 125 years. Expand There was an article on this for the Philadelphia Eagles, but that’s nfl. I would guess STL would be best baseball example, and you can see how the recent lethargy has taken a toll.

tray
I did a web search in order to look at the Ishbia's Winnetka residence on Lake Michigan. I find it interesting to look at large estate properties and mansions like MJ had. It became clear that the Ishbias spared no effort or cost to get what they wanted and end up where they wanted to be. The take away for me as a Sox fan is that they could live anywhere but chose the Chicago area to put roots down. Same goes for Mellody Hobson who owns several properties in Chicago.
