hi8is
Holy f*** - if awards or wins were handed out for drafting and trading for the most injured players, we would be DESTROYING the Majors. 😆🤦🏻♂️

Ducksnort
This says nothing about Moncada injury, just that he is "facing issues." After doing a little more digging all I could find is that he is behind schedule due to "soreness." And apparently his winter league stint ended after fouling a ball off his foot. I guess the main point still stands, dude is always hurt.

Someone else figured out that the Angels have used 28 different 3B since Rendon left the Nats lol

Ducksnort
I legitimately believe the Angels are a worse run organization than the Sox are. Wins/losses aside.

Expand It’s weird because Moreno DOES spend big money but it’s like he can’t get a GM that can build everything else, but also when he spends big he forces the GM to ride out that contract lol. JR and arte are the Yin and Yang of shitty baseball decisions that the GM has to own lol

caulfield12
Moncada at 3B (#5), Anderson SS (#77) tonight for LAA. Moncada looks noticeably 10-15 pounds heavier. Anderson 1/9 with a homer. Jo Adell GS off May...really like his ability, but even last year with 20 homers and 15 steals, just a 682 ops because of all the K's and struggles with righties. Strong throwing arm as well. Make or break year. Edited March 1 by caulfield12
kitekrazy
Maybe the Sox could trade Vargas instead of Getz trying not to look dopey on that trade.
WestEddy
I guess we're sidestepping that Moncada 3 HR OD game... Yoán Moncada's thumb is worse than we thought. His spot on the Opening Day roster is now in doubt. Probably opens the door for Tim Anderson as the starting 2B (with Rengifo at 3b) Also, some good news on Zach Neto, and a little talk about the lineup.https://t.co/38Z68uCWPS — Jeff Fletcher (@JeffFletcherOCR) March 16, 2025 Edited March 16 by WestEddy

I think you have to just feel sorry for both him and Eloy. Fell sorry about ourselves, the joke is ultimately on us, but I don't think I have any reason to question his desire. Maybe he ate too much candy. Then again, these players seemed to get hurt a whole lot less when they weren't constantly lifting weights and were subsisting on a diet of beer, chewing tobacco, steak dinners and sunflower seeds.
