How did DVS get Palette’s name wrong?

On paper, this one looks like another sure loss…although there’s slight hope without Jose Ramirez and Naylor traded lol.

Having back issues at his age is not a good sign.

I at least made it to early 30s.  Not sure if not stretching enough/yoga or not drinking enough fluids could be contributing factors.

There’s not being able to stand up after sitting too long issues vs. debilitating pain that FEELS like it must be a herniated disk requiring surgery.  Usually 2-3 days, 3-5 at worst to stabilize.

I remember the first really serious back pains came from too much racquetball and also repeated violent swinging motions in baseball, golf, tennis, softball over a lifetime…just accumulation of wear and tear and then not stretching well enough or at all.

Ofc…there were rumors of Montgomery back issues all last year.  His massive//growing size and defensive position on the field (SS) were two of the numerous reasons that Keith Law dinged him.

@ptatc - How worried should we be about Colson’s back spasms?

Much like a dead arm if the player isn't back in a week or two get concerned. Until then it's a nothingburger. Last year he had oblique tear, different issue and unrelated to any sort of spasms he's having in his back. Young tall dude getting a shitload of reps after adding muscle so yea, could be just usual wear and tear from ramping up in spring.

It's the White Sox.

Nothing is a nothingburger.

Not a good sign with the issues last year. Can be a sign of greater underlying issues

Could just be isolated but trending in the wrong direction.

Law kept saying his back was an issue in 2023 as well. This can't be good. Hopefully they can find some sort of fix. We are due for a break.
