For anyone hoping Baldwin starts the season as the starting SS it's not looking good. Expand They need that and some guys to hit and the BP to be much better to get to 63. Guess you don't want another 100 loss season, but it's not likely. Plenty of games are decided once the SP are out of the game. That means BP has to hold the other team while the offense picks it up against top relievers. This is where managers earn their money. I think it's telling they have Shane Smith in the 5 day rotation in ST. The Brewers did a weird thing with Wilson last year, where they had a 1-2 inning opener for him, then he'd enter and throw 5.
