Expand No, not really...but change of scenery moves do work sometimes. Two years ago, they had washed up versions of Matt Carpenter and Nelson Cruz. Big names/reps. Disaster. Last year, Profar, Donovan Solano, David Peralta, almost every little "under the radar move" worked almost perfectly. They also recently added Jose Iglesias for leadership/bench spot. Anything is possible. I do think if he was Baltimore, his father's shadow would lie heavy.

Show them what you have. Expand Sheets is a terrible player and a few homers in Spring Training isn’t changing my mind. But please come back later this season and remind me about how right you were when he has garbage numbers and gets DFA by the Padres. Just to remind you, Sheets has a career line of: .230 / .295 / .385 / .680 Sour grapes? I didn’t want the guy last year and I am glad Getz finally got a clue and non-tendered him. He’s a DH/1B that can’t hit well enough to play either spot, yet he was masquerading as a RF for the Sox which was even worse. If you think he’s a good player, you aren’t living in reality. He has done nothing to indicate he is a good player and has declined every year since his rookie season, meaning that the massive holes in his swing were likely figured out. I’m sure the Sox will forever miss that -2.7 career bWAR. Edited March 12 by WhiteSox2023 1
