whitesoxfan99
They win 45-0 yet look like they will lose the #2 slot to OSU. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?page=/bcsroad/1116 Thats because they have had one quality opponent this year in Washington State, who lost to Notre Dame. The Pac 10 is a joke. Honestly, USC might be a better team but if Ohio State beats Michigan they deserve the slot in the national title game. Chisoxfn
I think USC is good, but in all honesty no matter how much I hate OSU, they have been far better teams this season and if they have the same W/L as USC I'd give OSU the nod. Plus if OSU takes out Michigan (I find that very unlikely) then they'd definately have the strenght of schedule advantage. I do think LSU is a pretty solid team as well. Agree, but I think LSU has the least chance of winning out. They still have to play Mississippi, I believe Arkansas, and then they would have to win the SEC championship game. cwsox
all of the above - SoCal loses to UCLA, OSU loses Saturday as we all know, LSU can stumble twice, puts UM up there for the Sugar Bowl - in a year when everyone but Oklahoma and Miami/Ohio have at least 2 losses, Michigan is finishing strong and has best claim. If USC falls and LSU wins out, LSU will play Ok. Michigan needs USC and LSU to both lose while beating OSU
aboz56
This is all a moot point because Oklahoma is going to crush whomever they face.
whitesoxfan99
This is all a moot point because Oklahoma is going to crush whomever they face. People said the same thing about Miami last year and we all know how that turned out. I think OU is head and shoulders above everyone else, but anything can happen when its just one game. If there were series in football no one would stand a chance, but USC, LSU, and Ohio State are all capable of beating OU if the ball bounces the right way. OSU's defense would keep it close enough to go either way... just like last year. and LSU is holding opponents under 10 points a game - They must haev some defense. I can't really speak for USC the only game I saw was Notre Dame, and they are a joke.
Capn12
Right now, I don't see OSU being able to slow down Okla.....This isn't even the same Oklahoma offensive makeup that it was a few years ago. This Sooner team will beat you deep, on Jason White's arm. That wasn't the case a couple years ago, when Quentin Griffin would get a ton of carries, and the OU D wouls do the rest. Some people seem to be selling this Sooner team a bit short.
southsider2k5
Ohio State does move up to #2, but according to the national experts, USC still has a chance to reclaim their spot, with OSU losing.
ChiSox_Sonix
if USC does not get to the Championship game over OSU, provided they both win out, then that is a joke. OSU is nowhere near the team they were last year and would get blown away by Oklahoma. In my opinion, the only team with a shot at the Championship game that could play with Oklahoma is USC. If Wazzu keeps winning, then USC's strength of schedule and quality wins gets better, and .19 is not that big of a margain to make up. Of course an OSU win over Michigan might negate that. doubleM23
Does the BCS strenghth of schedule update every week? By that I mean, does it not count teams on your schedule you have not played yet (for example, with tOSU, Michigan) and then add them on after the game or is strength of schedule always measure the full season? If they update, an Ohio State win locks it for the Buckeyes, IMO.

If Purdue loses next week, OSU's strength of schedule goes down
cwsox
If Purdue loses next week, OSU's strength of schedule goes down If Purdue loses to Indiana, we will all be stunned! At this point I don't care about the BCS anymore. Michigan wins, we are in. And we will win. That is all I care about. Right now there is rain, heavy rain all day. It is good we have the new turf. The turf of prior years would have been destroyed by the end of the 1st quarter. The new stuff is durable and drains great. Of course this rain is early enough in the week that we should have clear weather by Saturday. Now I wouldn't mind a Snow Bowl part 2 but I'll have the kid and I don't need him freezing. ChiSox_Sonix
i dont care about Purdue so i dint bother seeing who they were playing, obviously, they should route Indiana, i was just using Purdue cuz they came to mind first
WHarris1
I hate USC so I would rather see anyone in the title game against OK. I prefer LSU but anyone is fine. Anyone but USC!
ChiSox_Sonix
well i really dont like Oklahoma much and i really dont think anyone has a shot to beat them except USC.
WHarris1
I hate the Sooners and the Trojans. So I am assuming the Sooners with make it and I just hope USC doesn't. Best matchup ever would be: South Carolina Gamecocks and the Southern California Trojans.
