It seems they are ready to start over with this group and are just acquiring stop gap players. He likely had an opt out in his deal if he was not added to 40 man by today. Why would the Sox DFA a younger player just to IL Drury for 2 months? A guy that was literally awful last season, is nearly 33 and just had a hand injury. He's really of no use to the Sox right now if he cannot play. Hahn was a man ahead of his time...truthfully, I don't think he rushed players, other than a couple that he drafted for the purpose of rushing them into the current year's pen.
