This was posted in another thread and I agree. He's at least more interesting than Jankowski and the 3 guys at AAA.

Yes, it looks like we have a team that can at least generate 0 WAR or higher per player.

The OF mix (player and 2024 WAR)

Fletcher -1.8

DeLoach -2.8

Colas -2.8

Taylor .9

Jankowski .3

Slater -.7

Didn't include Benintendi because he has a larger deal and going to play anyway but -.8 to him.

I won't be mad when they don't sign him but I'd take him over like half that list, including over the only positive WAR, old guys.

Fletcher, Colas and DeLoach will be in the minors. Benintendi is being paid a ton and at least has a history of some value. Slater was positive WAR at the end of last year with Baltimore, and has a history of some value. Taylor and Jankowski are bench players. Robert should be fine.

The only thing Moniak has going for him is his age. He'll either catch on somewhere in the minors, or bounce around being DFAed until he goes to Japan, Korea or Mexico.

Like I said, I don't really care either way but wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him if they chose to.
