Yep, it’s pretty shocking that a terrible owner whose team is now on its second rebuild since 2016 isn’t the belle of the ball!  Crazy…

The article is unprofessional, un-sourced, lazy, sarcastic and pointless. It's not shocking that would be something you would find of value.

Excuse me but Tray will not stand for BALONEY

That’s cuz Tray is living in an alternate dimension in the multiverse in which Reinsdorf is actually a good owner.  I heard Jerry wanted to make a new Marvel movie about it but he expected the state to fund it so it went nowhere.

Story has some details on the Sox stadium contract situation that some may find interesting:

JR certainly has a sweetheart deal with the current lease.  Even if the team stays at the current ballpark, I don't expect ISFA to just rubber stamp the same lease terms going forward with the way things have gone the last few years with the team's performance and with attendance.  They'd just be incentivizing more mediocrity and fan apathy.

Of course the huge wildcard there is Jerry's age (he'll be 93 when the lease is up) and whether Ishbia is indeed being lined up to be the next team owner.   And at the risk of giving someone another case of the giggles, whether the Ishbia brothers are going make a new ballpark at the 78 a reality with private financing of the stadium.  If that happens, I'm not sure what ISFA's role would be with a new stadium, it would have to be mostly (if not all) privately financed, but there would still be a lot of public investment in infrastructure at the site.

White Sox attendance "only" down 11.7% with a YoY comparison with 2024, first four home games.

You did have arguably better opponents last year, especially the Braves and started out with more of a rivalry series with DET.

Was thinking numbers would be down 15-20% this year, but Will Venable and the possible ownership change/s have injected needed life into the franchise.

That and maybe not starting off 3-22 or whatever it was would definitely help.   The more days they're not in last place.

Which is at least two more days if the Twins were to win the next two and Sox to lose them, they'd both be 2-4, haha.
