They only signed stop gap players as the goal is to start bringing up the prospects while they are intentionally losing as they rebuild. That’s why you actively try to acquire young players rather than start the season with the Taylor’s and Jankowski’s of the dumpster. We are just wasting at bats on this bums. It's not if the Sox have the prospects to call up. It's when they will offer the longer deals and when the veterans think they have progressed enough to sign.
