It has always pretty much been those same top 8-12 teams that swim in the deep end of the pool.

Contracts for an Arenado or Bryant don't change that.

Not a large market rule. If a small market club has a lottery pick in back to back seasons, they're ineligible in the third season. Large market clubs can't be in two years consecutively.

You still have this issue where St Louis is considered a small market...along with Oakland, but the White Sox are not, even though they're likely getting the lowest payouts from local RSN.

Either the White Sox SD Cleveland or Minnesota.

Feels pretty arbitrary/capricious.

Also glad to see the Rockies can't pick higher than 10 because I think they're a lock to finish with the worst record in baseball.

I just saw their record and was like, wow they are really bad, and then realized were only 3 games better than them. I wouldn't count these Sox out of it just yet.
