Mathew
Eat s***. How a referee can take and overtime game into his hands in that way is crap. The penalty has no effect on the play, that type on contact goes on more often than not uncalled. Officials in games like that should not decide the game on something so trivial. Cerbaho-WG
So, after the kick is away, the players have free reign to skullf*** the kicker? It was a good call, end of story.
RyeGuy
Game 7 ALCS and the winning run is scored by a balk called after the guy hits into an inning ending double play, the Sox lose, you don't get pissed? f*** that "scull f*** the kicker" give your head a shake! I wish every hockey game the player got a penalty shot in overtime the guy missed, he could try again because a guy hit him after he missed the net. Say what you will that was a horses*** way to end an otherwise well fought game. :fyou

It was a good call, end of story. lol skullf*** him eh? holy s*** did you even watch? i'll admit they probably will always make that s***ty call because he barely did touch him, but you are a f***ing retard if you think that nedney fell because of the hit and not the pansy-ass acting job. OH WOE IS ME HE GRAZED MY JERSEY, LET ME SPIN AROUND AND FLAIL MY ARMS. give me a f***ing break.

SI1020
It was a terrible call. Nedney even admitted that he might take up acting after his football days are over.

Thanks for the "f***ing retard" comment, calm down. It was a penalty, and if you fail to see that, YOU are the f***ing retard.
LowerCaseRepublican
The fact that Nedney did what he did selling that, if you were in the same situation, you'd do exactly what he did to try to help your team. Nonetheless, the kicker still got ran into, and thus a penalty. Steelers lose. Game over.

Nonetheless, the kicker still got ran into, and thus a penalty. Steelers lose. Game over. I've seen it not called just as often. Because the Giants got hosed on their last play, the officials were going to err on the side of caution. Pittsburgh needs to fix their pass defense, the officials need to get their acts (and asses) together and life goes on. Tennessee will be history next week. What I really want to know is will the Bears (my NFC team) rebound from the calamity that was 2002?

Oh thats impressive coming from the person who adds profanity to who his posts cause he needs filler since he never has a point. And would I have done what Nedney did? Maybe if I was actually pushed then I would fall, but I would not be a pussy and flail to the ground when I was barely touched. Ok, thats enough of wasting time on this topic I can see. He'll get barely touched when he's shooting and fall on his ass and try to sell it. I think he looks like a moron doing it and I laugh every time he does. I think he needs more PRACTICE at it. baggio202
if you run into the kicker they are gonna call it....it was one of those situations where the guy had to sell out and try and get the block at all costs - he missed - ran into the kicker - end of story...it was a chip shot FG so you had to figure nedney would make it...im guessing nedney saw him comming and knew he was gonna get clobbered and thats what affected his kick cause he missed it badly...if that guy wasnt coming like that nedney probably makes it..so when you hit the kicker they have to call it

You have to call it if the kicker gets drilled. It was a good job of acting though, but hey, you got to do what it takes.
Cy Young Porzio
yea nedney did quite the acting job on that play, but that doesnt affect the call. It was solid and visible contact although not intentional. It was the right call, if the refs were to lets the call go just because "they shouldnt take the overtime game into their hands like that" then you would just hear the titan fans b****ing. I say the call wouldve been made either way.
