I took my rings (the main ring and the accent ring) in last night for sizing and it isn't due back until next Wednesday. My hand feels so damned naked right now. :o

Sorry just needed to whine and b**** for a moment. Back to your regularly scheduled postings. :lolhitting

You might be the one doing all the shopping

Your boyfriends probably broke from spending all his bones on a ring. I read healthy doses of Maxim magazine and one issue in particular said that engagment around the holidays is a bad idea because of the possibility of a ring....and gifts. Puts an immense strain on your wallet.

Just dont expect anything outside of a dollar store . ;)

LOL! He set up a payment plan for the ring. And he is far from broke, that much I know. But a bit of the money he does have saved will have to go for countertops, blinds and odds and ends for the house (I picked up the tab on the cabinets, tile and supplies - grout and such). I don't expect much since he spent as much as he did on the ring but, he has already said that I need to put a list together for him and the stuff I really want is relatively cheap.

As for the shopping for the rest of the family, we pay for each of our own relatives, but decide together what to get together. We have one nephew bought for and will probably hit Toys 'R' Us within the next few weeks to get the rest of the nieces/nephews and friend's kids shopped for.

The hard part for me is that because of the house, we need to cut back on our Christmas spending on each other - I typically spend a nice amount on him (last year was between $300-400, this year will be about $100 depending on how much I spend on everyone else on my list ).
