Chisoxfn
It seems like the trade has broken down, but man would it be sweet if the Bulls were able to unload him. I'm not a big fan of losing Donyell Marshall, but Rose isn't a good fit with this team, neither is Pippen as far as I'm concerned. The Bulls need and should be a running team. The last parts of the Sacremento game were beautiful watching Curry, Chandler, Crawford, Erob, and Hinrich run the floor. They weren't playing starters, but over a full game if they are in shape they will wear an opponent out. If I'm the Bulls I'd do this 3 way: Bulls trade: Donyell Marshall, Marcus Fizer and Jalen Rose (If Needed Eddie Robinson; For Cap Purposes) Raptors trade: Antonio Davis, MoPete, Michael Bradley Cleveland trade: Ricky Davis plus a capfiller if needed Bulls recieve: Ricky Davis, MoPete and Michael Bradley Raptors receive: Donyell Marshall or Marcus Fizer and Jalen Rose and Erob if they need the cap filler Cleveland receives: Marcus Fizer and Antonio Davis, giving them the big men they need. They may prefer Fizer though. I just know Cleveland wants to get involved. They could be the team that receives Erob and Fizer, although cap wise I don't think that would work. Either way I know its a rumored deal and that would be awesome. Davis is what the bulls need, a guy that can slash and create his own shot. The Bulls would also get Bradley whose a good low post player and still young. Basically the Bulls and Raptors get what they are rumored to get, but the Cavs get some help by unloading their logjam. New lineup Hinrich/Crawford Crawford/MoPete/Kendall Gill Ricky Davis/MoPete/Scottie Chandler/Bradley/Baxter/Blount (He could go instead of Fizer if teams prefer it) Curry/Bradley/Baxter (I must be forgetting someone)
southsider2k5
I don't mind the Toronto scenario's, but why bring in Ricky Davis? This guy is just another Jalen Rose, who only plays offense, sleeps on defense, and is a shoot first pass later self-centered player. This guy is just another Jalen Rose, who only plays offense, sleeps on defense, and is a shoot first pass later self-centered player. Last year that was the case, but this year he's really adjusted his game. He's ony 25 and is an absolute stud. He has the ability to create, something jalen does not and he is a good passer and a great athlete. The Bulls could really run with him at the 3. Defensively he's really been improving over the past year and a half and he's a much better defensive player then Jalen Rose. Just look at this years numbers, 15.5 ppg, 5 apg, 5 rpg. Cleveland just has so many guys that play at a similar position. I'm a huge Ricky Davis fan. He can be the go to guy in a game if needed, but as long as we have good coach, he'll be fine not being that and playing as a team. The Bulls need to get back to their routes and go with athletes and out run the team and improve defensively, but on offense move the ball. That will wear opponents out. I think Ricky Davis has benefited from having a selfless guy like LeBron running the show overthere. It makes him look more selfless when he has someone finding him, instead of forcing his shot to score. There is no arguing his scoring ability and potential. He just scares me coming to a team that has another me-ish PG in Crawford. I just don't feel like it would work.
Chisoxfn
I just look at the speed and athletism if the Bulls landed him. He's like Erob, but well healthier and a much much more honed player. Basically a much better version of Erob. Bring in Doc Rivers and I think you could see some really good things happen with this lineup.
