Nice to see you honor the soldiers with your presence this year Mr. President.

AT&T The next best thing to being there.

Election's over, no more campaigning. Which is why I would prefer to have presidents voted to single 6-year terms.

He ain't Bob Hope entertaining the Troops every year ;)

Last year your side called it a publicity stunt & now you're calling him out for not going.

Please spare us the flamebait posts next time.

I thought the publicity part was landing on the carrier with the victory banner, not his Thanksgiving Day drop in.

And Nuke to be fair, the conservative talk show hosts criticized the press for not making his Thanksgiving Day plans bigger air play, now they want it played down.

And around and around we go.

I thought it was a nice thing to do for the troops and I posted as much & it got turned into a politicized mini-flamewar. Why dredge it up again? Hence the flamebait remark.

It was a nice thing, unfortunately the President is not allowed to do nice things, everything he does, is weighed against the backdrop of politics. True for both sides. And predictably, Presidents tend to do more "nice things" as their re-election gets closer and closer.

They're still upset that their candidate couldn't win the most heated election in our lifetimes against a sitting President despised by about half of America NUKE.

And a candidate that was equally despised by the other half.
