Chisoxfn
Something like a 3 yr 38 mill deal. Heard it on the radio about half an hour ago.

Mr. Showtime
I think Arod will be a bit better heh, if the Red Sox can land A-Rod then I'll, I don't know what but I'll be shocked.
Cali
Looks like there won't be any Maggs to NY deal coming up.
southsider2k5
The next question becomes, what pitcher are they adding. I am really surprised I haven't heard the Yankees connected with Millwood yet.
southsider2k5
I say Pettie and Vazquez will be Yankees, along with Hawkins. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Yankees add as many as 3 guys to that pen. Gordon, Hawkins, Sullivan, Guardado, Foulke and others are still out there, and that was a glaring weakness of the Yanks last year.
greasywheels121
LOL they can have the overpaid Sheff.....The past two post seasons in Atlanta he hit well under .200. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that the Bankees problem in the playoffs?
Jim Fainter
Sheffield is a stud. If he stays healthy, the Yanks will run away and hide. Only weakness is third base, and Boone isn't that bad.
Bighurt52235
Something like a 3 yr 38 mill deal. Heard it on the radio about half an hour ago. ESPN.com says that the signing is "imminent", but it won't happen until after December 7th.
Soxfest
Hope they love each other because no one is going take Sheff down the road for that kind of coin.
Cerbaho-WG
ESPN.com says that the signing is "imminent", but it won't happen until after December 7th. Exactly, mainly because that's the last day I believe that a team can offer arbitration. Or first, not sure which. So the Yankees hold onto their first round pick. Al Lopez Ghost (old)
Sheffield is a stud. If he stays healthy, the Yanks will run away and hide. Only weakness is third base, and Boone isn't that bad. Somebody gotta pitch de ball.
Pastime
Once again, the rich open their wallets and just scoff at the rest. Those who have hate those who don't, and those who don't hate those who do. F*cking Yankees.
BrandoFan
Something like a 3 yr 38 mill deal. Heard it on the radio about half an hour ago. Sox Yanks get Sheff, who is as good as Maggs defensively and superior offensively, for 12.6 Mill, while Maggs, coming off a 99 RBI campaign, is reportedly looking for 14-15? WTF? It also means no Soriano for the Sox. KNowing Kenny, he'll probably get Odalis Perez and Izituris and be happy. Sad.
