NUKE_CLEVELAND
Bears finally figure out how to play a complete game for 60 minutes & holy s***, they won! Yay for them & big kudos to that rookie running back they threw in there. He had a monster game.

All this does is give the media a chance to use the "P" word again (ain't a chance in hell for that) and further ruin any chance of the Bears getting a possible game-breaker in the NFL Draft. Keep winning meaningless games assholes

I'm just glad they gave the fans a little something to cheer about for once.

I'm just glad they gave the fans a little something to cheer about for once. The thing is, if they keep there s*** together, they play the two teams in front of them the next two weeks. It is obviously a long shot, but at least this team has shown some heart. At 1-5 it would have been easy to pack in the season and play for personal gain, instead this group of rookies has come in and played their hearts out. The defense the past 5 weeks has been circa 2001. Say what you want about them beating the Cardinals, but they just beat the Broncos in Denver, took the Rams down to the wire, and blew out the Cards. They really are playing some good football.
Chisoxfn
Arizona may suck, but they played a hell of a game last week against the Rams. And I want to make one comment on Kordell..good game. He was erratic at times, but didn't make any turnovers, made some plays with his feet and threw some nice balls. Most importantly...in the red zone he was butta, something Chandler absolutely stunk at. The Bears had been awful converting in the red zone with Chandler, while Kordell is td after td down there...well at least this week. WHarris1
We are two back with 4 to play. We still have Minnesota on our schedule. It is a longshot, but it could happend.

southsider2k5
But Favre is hurt and our D is vastly improved. Exactly. I guess I wasn't real clear, but having them on our schedule gives us more of a chance to catch them, instead of hoping someone else beats them, it give the Bears control of their own fate. witesoxfan
I was just going to ask what the point of making the playoffs was, but then I realized, the NFC is weak as hell. There are NO dominant teams in that conference at all. Philadelphia has been shaky, Dallas has proven me right that when they play half-way decent teams, they lose, or they get lucky as hell and win(Giants game anyone?), Minnesota, Green Bay, and Chicago are all talented but not quite good, the Rams are OK, and the Panthers pretty good as well. The Seahawks can play some pretty good football now and then too. Right now, I think that if, hypothetically, Philly, Dallas, any NFC North team, the Rams, Seahawks, and Panthers, I'd have to say that the favorites to go to the Superbowl are Philly and St. Louis....and I think any NFC North team can beat both of those teams(now obviously the Vikings had a close game today against St. Louis, only losing by 31, but the Bears probably should have beaten St. Louis earlier this year, so it's not like they are unbeatable) Doesn't matter who makes it from the NFC. I like the AFC all the way this year.
Spiff
The Eagles haven't been shaky they've won 7 in a row. And the Rams aren't the same team on the road that they are at home, which is where they would play the Bears. The Eagles already beat the Packers in Green Bay on a monday night, what more do you want?
witesoxfan
The Eagles haven't been shaky they've won 7 in a row. And the Rams aren't the same team on the road that they are at home, which is where they would play the Bears. The Eagles already beat the Packers in Green Bay on a monday night, what more do you want? The Eagles have had to have something like 3 or 4 late 4th quarter drives to win games. If McNabb turns it over somehow, someway in 2 of those, which does happen to a few teams now and then, they are 7-5 right now and not 9-3. And they barely friggin beat the Packers. Had Farve been able to grip the ball, I doubt the Eagles win. What I was basically trying to say is that the Eagles have not been dominant really at any time this year. Spiff
I'd rather be lucky than good. The bottom line is they've found a way to win 7 in a row, and right now they are clearly the best team in the NFC.
Chisoxfn
Agree on the Eagles. In the East I say its the Pats or the Titans. I favor the Titans to go to the Superbowl and it may be their year. I do think the Bears are playing great and if Edinger hadn't hit a slump they would be the frontrunners to win their division. Still they have a tough road to the playoffs, but with the way they are playing if they get in, I'd watch out.

Chisoxfn
as long as the bears continue to play well the rest of the year....maybe we get to see grossman? Won't happen until the Bears lose. Once they lose, its gonna be Grossman all the way. They may still play Kordell a bit too. Now if they are whooping a team, then maybe you'd see Grossman, but that didn't even happen today and they were up pretty heavily. I wonder if the Bears got the ball back, whether Grossman would of been put in.

BridgeportHeather
He is hooking everything lately... Perhaps it's time for him to change the way he sets up those kicks? If batters sometimes change their batting stances, kickers can change they way they approach kicks. It might actually work... They've been playing much better lately. We might beat the Packers next Sunday!
WHarris1
I have never had so much hope for a Bears game IN Lambeau (Sp?) But then again I live in Chicago, and all my hopes will be crushed.
