Chisoxfn
I've been fairly confident that Bartolo will come back. The question is how willing is JR to sign him. Was he just making an offer knowing that Bartolo wouldn't take it. Kind of as a way to say look we tried or is he serious about getting him back. witesoxfan
I don't think so. He won't come crawling back because if he tried to crawl, his belly would hit the ground and he'd be left hanging like Garfield the cat. Seriously, I don't think he'll come back. I think some team will pony up the cash to get him. His price will come down to about $8-10 mill a year, and just as the White Sox offer him a contract, some team like the Diamondbacks or the Mets or the Indians or someone like that will offer him $10 mill a year for 4 years and he'll accpet their deal as well. I bet he is as serious about resigning Colon as he was about signing ARod back in 2000-01.
greasywheels121
I sure hope we can get Bartolo to come back. Getting a pitcher like that in our rotation is the most important offseason objective if you ask me.
Pastime
Any pitcher better than Danny Wright or Jon "Mike Morgan II" Garland is the most important offseason objective.
