Larry Fitzgerald is unreal. He holds the NCAA record for consecutive games with a receiving TD. The scary thing is that he is a true sophomore.

I'll be curious to see how he does next year without Rutherford under center.

Anyone who watched alot of Michigan games this year, has to realize what an IDOIT Lloyd Carr was for only handing Perry the ball 35 times in those two losses. That's the reason you lost, you NIMROD!!!!

Oh and for Hiesman, I think it should have been Perry if he had a coach with half a brain. But He'll finish 3rd or fourth i think. White wins, Fitgerald and Manning fight for second.

I love your support for Perry, but you have to remember Perry lost out on some carries because Michigan had to play major catch up in both of those losses, so Navarre was passing almost every down. But Perry clearly showed against MSU and OSU that if he is given the ball in a pressure situation, he will come through.

My favirote part about watching Perry is how he gets up very lathargically(sp?) after every carry and it looks as if he is about to drop dead, then they hand him the ball and he explodes back to life.

Reminds me Jim Brown highlights that I have seen.

Michigan had a 2 touchdown LEAD in the Iowa game.... And was never behind far enough to completely abandon the run like they did in the Oregon Game, for the most part they had tons of time left... Behind only a touchdown and they were in the shotgun throwin on every down... Carr didn't play those games to win, he was just HOPING not to lose. He cost his team a shot at the national title. This team scored 27 points in it's two losses, allowing 30 and 31, that's a total of 7 points . If they could execute a punt they'd be playing for a national title. That falls squarely on the coaching staff. I can't believe I haven't heard about Carr's name on the choping block.

I'm not a fan of Carr if you couldn't tell. I'm actually not a Michigan fan, but if I was I'd have sent him mail bombs. The same thing with Cooper at Ohio St a few year ago. He made Jessica Simpson look like a genius every Michigan game. He just gave it up whether he had better talent or not.

You don't have to tell me about Michigan's troubles in those 2 games and 3 quarters of the minnesota game, I paid 15 dollars to watch the oregon game and nearly puched, after the Iowa game I wanted to shoot, Finley, Rivas, and the special teams coach.

Still, though, both those games were shootouts, and both were lost by poor execution, I don't think Perry or the lack there of was the real reason we lost either of those games.

As soon as we jumped out to the 14-0 lead against Iowa, Iowa marched down the field. In the oregon game, Oregon torched our defense on the very first drive (we ended up blocking a field goal from the three to end the drive, but it made us look bad right from the start). Defense cost us those games.

Lloyd Carr allowing Navarre to run a naked boot leg deep in MSU territory (of course navarre was hit and fumbled, and the fumble war returned for a td to make the score 27-20) while michigan was trying to run out the clock against MSU was by far Carr's worst moment of the year.

I don't see how Michigan, the staff/ AD department and fans, can stand to keep that guy around. I think it is clear that they don't have an upper echelon coach to go along with thier upper echelon talent. Tressel, Ferentz, Tiller(who i've never liked) and maybe even Alvarez, consistently get more from less. And that's just coaches in the conference.

Look at Nebraska, they aren't going to stand around and watch as a coach buries them in mediocrity. I don't know exactly WHAT thier plan is, but they're not going to sit by and let everything be status quo.

Michigan came into the season with National Title hopes. They've been out of the National title hunt since September. That to me is a failed season. Sure they salvaged a win vs. Ohio St and are ranked 4th in the country... It's MICHIGAN FOOTBALL 4th in the country, when you have #1 or 2 talent shouldn't be accepted. Just ask yourself this question. Who would win if they played, this years Michigan or last years NATIONAL CHAMPION Ohio St. I'd say Michigan. And the fact that They're not playing for it this year I think should cost someone his job.

It amazes me that I've written this much about Michigan football. I think it's just because I'm a casual fan, more of an overall Big Ten fan, and it seems obvios to me.

I'm going to leave and drop this subject now. I know Carr will be back. But so will my new website http://www.firelloydcarr.com

I was kidding about the website. I didn't make it. IF it exsists.

Is it wrong to like Chris Rix from FSU? I think the guy is a  NFL QB....

He's got the heart and the talent to be one, he just has to make better decisions. People forget Carson Palmer was a disappointment his first three years at USC. I could easily see Rix being a #1 pick if he has a senior year like Palmer.

Michigan is not Nebraska.

Coach Carr will be at Michigan as long as he wants to be and I am very thankful for that. It will not be long enough for me.

The special teams coach has not been seen since the Iowa game. It was his first year. Coach Carr has not called him out not bashed him. Lloyd has said, in reference to his whereabouts, that it is a personal matter and Lloyd does not feel at liberty to say more. I think that is very classy, especially as there may be a personal tragedy going on (as I have heard through the grapevine) and it is not our business, nor is the blame game an answer to anything.

Yes we lost a shot at the national title because of the punting team mistakes. We also could have fallen apart as a team after those two losses. Instead we are ranked #4 and going to the Rose Bowl. That is quality coaching.

Perry gets my Heisman vote because I am biased.

Atleast you're honest  ;)

you will remember (and I have no proof because soxtalk lost my original signature) that my original 2003 Heisman trophy pick was John Navarre!!!! :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang I was calling him the winner last January after he outdueled Grossman in the bowl game! And I still feel good about that call on my part!
