Guest wsc425
What if? What if Kenny Williams wasn't hired? What if the David Wells deal fell through with the White Sox keeping Sirotka, and trading Parque? What if Sirotka never left for Japan? What if the Ritchie deal never went through as if KW wasn't there? ...Fans would come back... What if James Baldwin never was traded? Rotation Mike Sirotka David Wells Mark Buehrle James Baldwin Jon Garland What if Jerry Reinsdorf and Jerry Krause got hooked just on the Bulls and sold the sox to Microsoft? lol. cwsox
Don't you mean K Wells and not D Wells in your rotation? James Baldwin would still be less than a so-so pitcher. I always liked Siro. But what if Schueler had signed Clemens and not Navarro? All these what ifs are frustrating because we cannot go back and change time. Guest wsc425
not if I do the math. k time machine=3.14, half the distance to the goal, ....snore...tired
cwsox
well then do the math. I want to be 20 years younger.
YASNY
Baldwin hasn't been good at all since he left here. Sirotka hasn't thrown a meaninful pitch since he left here and may never do so again. So that leaves us with Buerhle, K Wells, Garland, Wright and Biddle or Rauch. Kip started off well for the Pirates, until he had been around the league once. Very similar results then when he was with the Sox. He may yet turn into a very good pitcher, but I'd still rather have Garland over Kip. Basically, what this all boils down to is that we'd have simply one more question mark (Wells) to add to our rotation full of question marks. Mathew
Swell we'd get that s*** bag Brian Jordan and probably have had to give the Braves Maggs in the place of Sheffield, woo friggin hoo. Why is Evens considered the Messiah? Don't pretend Sheffield played poorly or has ever done so? Perez flickered in the 2nd half too.
cwsox
Yeah, and Hundley would be catching for us too with Evans. I have been unimpressed by Evans in LA.
doubleM23
Evans sucks, too, and had the Sox hired him, we'd all be b****ing and moaning about the job he's done and we'd be wondering what could have been had we hired Williams, the "genius" behind the great minor league system we had a few years ago.
