DBAHO
Looks like the Mets ain't done yet either, From ESPN. One of them is almost certainly the Mets, who also are believed to have interest in Magglio Ordonez, despite his $14-million salary next year. Scott Boras continues to tell people he has a five-year deal out there for Kevin Millwood at $15 million a year. But other than the Mets, it's hard to find a team that is actively bidding on him. Millwood told three baseball people in the last week that he wanted to return to Philadelphia. But Boras went nearly two weeks without responding to the Phillies' first contract offer (believed to be three years, for about $29 million). Wise Master Buehrle
Offer them Jose and Maggs or Koch and Maggs, when and if they sign Kaz (rumors say he is leaning towards them), for Kaz and some other guys. Or is Kaz untradeable?
Cali
If Maggs goes to NY I would expect at the very least Jose Reyes, and maybe Scott Kazmir but they may be too much.

One of the two, and you hope for both. I'd probably ask for a good reliever too. Maybe Weathers or something like that. Or maybe we trade Maggs and get Kazmir, Weathers, and then get Ring back too. greasywheels121
How about Mags for Mo Vaughn?
SuperSteve
If the Mets sign Matsui, Reyes moves to 2B. I personally don't want anything the Mets have...and they are not going to trade Matsui.
Loaiza21
Borass. When will teams learn not to deal with him? 15 M for 5 years! For Millwood? I'd say he's only worth 7 M a year.

Would they be willing to give up Jose Reyes? Cause I'd think he'd be a must in a deal and I just couldn't see the Mets giving him up. Other than he and Matsui, I don't really want any Mets.

whitesoxfan99
The one and only way I trade Maggs to the Mets is if Reyes is involved. If not forget it.
103 mph screwball
I'd be interested in Reyes, Phillips, Weathers, Strickland. I agree that Reyes would be a key. Perhaps a three team deal. The more teams interested, the more value the Sox might get in return if they must trade him. .
Chisoxfn
I'd prefer going with the Orioles and try to lure them into taking Jose and Magglio for Matos, Gibbons and one reliever (Maybe they can get Jorge Julio).
BrandoFan
Scott Boras continues to tell people he has a five-year deal out there for Kevin Millwood at $15 million a year His 1999 season aide, Millwood is a 4.00 ERA pitcher in offense light NL, having pitched in neutral and pitcher's parks all his life. 3 year/25 Mill is what he is worth. Maybe.
YASNY
Why in the hell would we trade Maggs for Matsui when we can get aggresive and just sign him as a free agent?
southsider2k5
The Mets do have a lot of quality prospects both IF and P coming through their system, along with the money to pay Maggs. If a Koch deal can't be worked with them, Maggs would be intriguing.
