kramer99
on the whitesox official web sight, they only talked about offering 5 possible free agent arbitration cases, none of them included gordon. its not too late for the sox to offer him arbitration, is it?? or is it already obvious that they offered him arbitration?? thanks
HighHeat45
i dont think you can offer arbitration to guys on different teams gordon was signed by the yanks about a week ago
mac9001
Gordon will be offered arbitration, since he's signed with the Yankees, it's automatically refused. Giving the Sox's the Yankees 1st or 2nd round pick and a sandwich pick.
Chisoxfn
Ya, the Gordon situation is all taken care of. The Sox will have two picks.

Chisoxfn
If Colon goes to the Angels we'll hav plenty of good picks in the draft this year rite? Ya, we'd have six picks in the first two rounds. Thats assuming that the Sox hold onto Sullivan, whom they will offer arbitration too. Our own first and second rounders and then two supplemental picks (between 1st and 2nd round) and then either two first or 2nd round picks, depending. The SOx are getting a 2nd round pick for Gordon and would most likely get the first rounder from Anaheim (unless they are picking too high). If the Sox do get all these draft picks with FA's singing elsewhere(which I hope doesn't happen) I hope they can have as good of a draft as they did last year. We didn't offa arbitration to Sully according to the Colon article.
