southsider2k5
The lake actually helped us out this time. We probably got about 6 inches, but it melted right as it fell mostly.

Texsox IS NOT allowed to post in any threads that mention "snow" or "cold" I'd hate to be living in Texas where it's so boring due to a lack of weather variety. Nothing beats football in the snow!!! Texsox
:finger Ok new rule. Texsox IS NOT allowed to post in any threads that mention "snow" or "cold" In balance, I will start a thread in August when we are "enjoying" our 100 consecutive day of 100 degree weather. Let me have my 4 or 5 months of great weather before I broil.

If only they would open a futures or stock exchange on South Padre Island, I would be there to cut the ribbon
Texsox
I'd hate to be living in Texas where it's so boring due to a lack of weather variety. Nothing beats football in the snow!!! There is plenty of variety in Texas. From the snow in the Chisos and Guadalupe Mountains to the warm breezes from the Gulf. Dallas always gets snow. Football in the snow is cool, so is playing golf on New Years Day, in shorts, without frost bite.

Guest williestokes
I got snow in Roanoke, Virginia. Unfortunately it melted when it hit the ground and you had to squint to see it as it floated down...
southsider2k5
Do you get to the island at all? I was there as a kid, and loved it. I have only been back to Galveston Is and the Bolivar Pen since then. I miss the Texas beaches...*sigh*
witesoxfan
It's too cold up here in North Dakota to snow. That's what I tell myself anyways. Sounds good to me and I say that's probably why we've only had about 5-10 inches all year so far.
greasywheels121
We ended up w/ just under 6 inches over the weekend, but luckily by the weekend's end, the roads were basically all normal again.
