chessblues88
Scott Gregor of the Daily Herald asserts that Kenny will be making a big pitch for Paul Quantrill ... "The White Sox should get New York's first-rounder next year, but that will go to the Los Angeles Dodgers as compensation for signing free-agent reliever Paul Quantrill. Since Quantrill is ranked higher than Gordon, the Sox will receive a sandwich pick and a second-rounder from the Yankees." The whole article can be found at: http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/sox.asp I'd rather have Quantrill than Guardado anyway ...
Guest JimH
What are you talking about? Quantrill signed with the Yankees. The article talks about the draft choices the Sox will get, not that KW is trying to get Quantrill.

Chisoxfn
Welcome aboard, but you miss read that. Quantrill signed with the Yanks and he is rated higher then Gordon which is why the Sox will get a 2nd round pick for Gordon, plus the sandwich pick. chessblues88
Thanks - this morning I foolishly trusted MLB.com's FA tracker which lists Quantrill as an unsigned free agent. I forgot about all the shenanigans this year. Humbled on my first post!
