Bighurt52235
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1682296 And what a cheap contract! I wouldn't have minded him for that much!
Bighurt52235
Also, did anyone realize just how good a year Matt Stairs had last season. .292 and 20 bombs. Wow.

WHarris1
Damn, they are gonna be the team to beat next year. We better make like a bundle of moves in the upcoming weeks.

sox-r-us
He was rumored to go to the Royals for a long time now....no surprise there Now if only someone who was rumored to go to us actually did it would actually be news
HighHeat45
who would win in a race, pk or benito thats a good idea for a poll
Wise Master Buehrle
WTF!? This is horrible.
Chisoxfn
Benito may be old, but he still calls a great game, still has a pretty good arm and has quite a bit of pop in his bat for a catcher. This is a another good move by the Royals. They are doing a very good job.
winninguglyin83
i'm not that worried about Benito. Brett Mayne had a really good year for the Royals last year, especially in the first half of the season when KC was winning. Can't see Benito playing as well as Mayne did. Plus, although they added Stairs, they lost Tucker -- who also played well for them. I'm more concerned that KC improved its bullpen by adding OUR GUY -- Sullivan and resigning Grimsley and Lekskanic.
quickman
Plus they signed Sullivan today.
greg775
Benito is too old.
BurlyMan56
At least they have a guy in Baird making moves that is helping that ball club that is still strapped for cash...The one problem over there next year will still be the starting pitching... The Critic
Didn't they lose RonDelL White too? They're going to be decent, but the Central is still VERY winnable if the Sox make just a couple smart moves.
