Rowand44
Maybe a maggs trade to the yanks is still not of the equation, because it looks like sheffield isn't a done deal anymore, and someone here posted that Vlad will not play for the yankees, if this is true I think the sox and yankees could do some business, maybe a deal revolving around soriano and others, I don't know if the yankees would be willing to still trade soriano, but I just thought I'd bring this up, cause it's not a dead possibility anymore. SuperSteve
Yanks said Vlad was too $$ for them. Mags for Soriano and a decent prospect would be great. Maybe Hammond would be a nice fit here (seeing they pay a little).
Chisoxfn
Well a Soriano for Maggs deal would be great for the Sox...but who knows.
Soxfest
Yanks were going to trade Johnson or Soriano NOT both. Soriano stays now.

Say it aint so.

sox-r-us
If the Yankees cannot afford Vlad, no one else can....no way any team is going to give Vlad the deal ARod got....those deals will never happen again
greasywheels121
If the Yankees cannot afford Vlad, no one else can....no way any team is going to give Vlad the deal ARod got....those deals will never happen again I remember reading that Vlad didn't want to play in NY. I see his options being Baltimore and Anaheim. I'll be quite surprised if they get Vlad in Anaheim after signing Escobar and Colon.

DBAHO
Yanks don't hav much in da way of prospects, would hav luved to gran Claussen off em bf he went to Cincy for Aaron Boone. Soriano would definitely hav to be included, and I hate to say Yanks would prob try to force Weaver on us as well, but I've heard they want to get rid of Hammond as well. soxfan420
if that trade happened i would be extatic LF-lee CF-sorionto RF-reed/borchad 3b crede ss uribe 2b harris/yan 1b pk/frank C-mig that equals a hell of a deffense and a team with great speed except 2-3 of our power hitters. that would open up some money for our bullpen and our rotation has well
YASNY
I don't see Soriano as a great defensive centerfielder. In fact, he'd prrobably be a liability. CF is not a position just anyone can play. See Jose Valentin as an example of an infielder trying to play in CF.
