cwsox
before your time - in 1968 - the governor of California, the movie actor who got elected in 1966 to the the office that Nixon lost in 1962, Reagan beating Wilson who beat Nixon - in 1968, Reagan was a candidate for president up through the first ballot of the convention and Nixon had to work hard to get that first ballot victory with Reagan still in it. Nixon never forgot a slight - as we all know. I thought Reagan was a fine host of Death Valley Days. Otherwise...
1549
A conversation between Nixon and Haldeman Two very prude, honest, and trustworthy gentleman. As far as I know, the reasons Nixon had most white house conversations taped were 1) He was paranoid, 2) He thought they would be great for posterity (not knowing they would also be great for booting him out of the office ). So if Nixon had decided conversations must be taped, than why did he curse so much, why did he speak of others in unkind ways, and why did he talk about sensitive issues? It must have been due to his natural charm.
BrandoFan
Swearing and cute ethnic slurring was the least of the evil f***'s problems. Foreign Relation Counsell machiavelli s***, his ideas on little third world war, etc. If I have to, I'll take Tricky Ronnie.
