I may lose my mind before March 31st, hell I've already lost my mind. I am completely impatient, even more so now...

No, its not the only bad part. Colon is reported to being 270 pounds, 35 pounds overweight. Also Colon will more than likely be gone after this season so we better make it count. The trade is great but I'm just saying its not perfect. Good thing is we don't loose a whole lot. (only Biddle in my opinion).

Even if he's 35 pounds overweight, he can easily drop it within the next two months.

He's gonna be good. Last year with the Expos he didn't give a s***, so he got a little fat (or more fat), but i think he'll lose his winter weight before the season starts.

Maybe a little KW bootcamp during Spring Training?

hey i am happy for the trade, but losing pounds has not been mention with this guy reputation, more like gaining it.

From what i remember he's known for putting weight on during the winter, but he always gets back to his 240-250 weight before the season starts.

All this talk about weight issues is just speculation made by fans of teams THAT DO NOT HAVE BARTOLO COLON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Colon has always been a professional. He won 20 games last year overweight..... and that was with the Expos. He's never been a lazy f*** like D Wells. He'll realize the potential this team has and that he is playing for a sweeter contract extension. He'll get back to his optimum pitching weight..... hopefully.

If he truly does weigh 270...I wouldn't run him.  That will put a lot of stress on his legs and what not.  He should walk or swim or do something else, until he's down to about 240 or so.

Or we could get a treadmill and attach a churro at the end.

ohhh that is cruel :headbang

Ya...he's like Sosa in that regards. Sammy always does that too. There are actually a lot of players out there like that. They go back to there home and eat and get fat, but atheletes and shed weight real fast.

or he could just drop dead of a heart attack in kw's little boot camp training program and then we are stuck without a #2 again.............

Maybe, just maybe, the Yankees leaked that Colon was fat to throw off the BoSox?

That'd be nice, but I doubt it. Theo wouldn't want to make a big mistake in his first year, like a certain GM did when he traded an injured pitcher for a fat pitcher...

I wonder who that was? :D

He will get himself together because if he plays like s***, no one will give him the offer he wants when  he becomes a free agent, that is if the sox don't sign him.

ha .. he will probably play like s*** and the sox will then resign him ......thinking they have something special.... i remember ritchie....and we almost got stuck with him again.......lmao
