YASNY
They always play well against the Wings. Too bad they aren't motivated enough to put out that kind of effort consistently. I think it's time to dump Sutter and give Yawney a shot.

Call up Anton Babchuk and Vorobiev, giv em and da rest of da kids consistent mins, and trade DUI Alex as well.

If we could only play the Wings every game we would win it all
The Critic
Red Wings had also played the previous night, not easy to do with the number of key guys they have on the injured list. SlackHawks will have to do a next-nighter tonight in Dallas. I expect the worst...
Queen Prawn
It was something like 7 or 10 guys that were in injured the night before the Hawks game, right?

Not that the Hawks have any key injuries or anything. That was the one thing that was annoying about the national broadcast was the constant whining and feeling sorry for the poor beat up Detroit Red Wings :puke LOOK ACROSS THE ICE AT THE OTHER BENCH!!! Queen Prawn
The Red Wings are always getting ass kissing from the game announcers. I still remember how dumb-founded the announcers were when the Canes beat them in OT the first game of the Stanley Cup Finals June 2002...the only win for the Canes... That was the one thing that was annoying about the national broadcast was the constant whining and feeling sorry for the poor beat up Detroit Red Wings :puke LOOK ACROSS THE ICE AT THE OTHER BENCH!!! The story I saw was referring to the fact that the Red Wings were still playing WELL while missing a lot of players. The SlackHawks have played just well enough to lose and lose and lose and lose. And aren't going to do a goddamn thing about it, because they are counting on a work stoppage next year, and don't want to commit ONE DOLLAR more than necessary for players. That would be the difference.

Many teams seemed to take that philosophy in the pre-season and another team that seems to be adhering to it are the 'Canes.

Basically everyone except the Avs and Wings are in standstill mode. The whole NHL knows they are going on strike and that is all there is to it.
