cwsox
I never get to be on the boards the same time as you and this really belongs in another forum; but since you are here and I can move this later on - hi! My employer gave me two t-bones yesterday and after I ate them he called to say the meat was bad and not to eat them - too late! And since he was right and I can't now sleep, I'm at work since there is a not a damn thing else to do other than lay in bed in misery and might as well get some work done since my kindly employer over scheduled clients today as if he actually does any of the work he promises... so YASNY, yo and hi and all that good stuff, hope you are ok - and don't ever eat any food gifts from an employer, my tip of the day! YASNY
Duly noted and filed away for future reference. Sorry to hear that the fed you then told you about it being bad. Leave it management to screw things up. Glad to have you around this time of day. It's usually kinda slow in here.
cwsox
nice to be at the office with no phones ringing - I suspect by the end of the day I will be really exhausted though - I was very glad about the Buehrle signing - what I knew all along, and posted, if he was given a fair offer he would gladly sign with us, he wants to stay with us rather than go elsewhere - it would appear that JR did not f*** up this agreement as he did the one earlier this year. Do you think we will be ok with Harris at 2nd? I am not sure how we pay St JoeE6 $5 mill and can't offer the couple that R ALomar wanted. YASNY
Will we be OK with Harris? Don't know, but we need to find out. I don't think Valentin will be with us by ST, so that $5Mill is a moot point. And Robbie Alomar didn't show me much when he was here. Sure he solidified the defense, but he's fairly well progressed on his downhill slide. I can only forsee him getting less useful.

Pastime
And to think that we could have had Fernando Vina for just $3 million a year.

YASNY
oh, tell how that will be and all my gastric distress will vanish! I think he'll be traded to LA. He just seems to fit their needs, and I don't think KW ever had any intention of keeping Valentin when he picked up that option.

With Kaz Matsui picked up by the Mets, we're all hopin that will happen. I think sumthin will get done concernin him and Konerko at New Orleans. Pastime
Feel better soon, CW. As for those of us who think that Jose is gone (and I want that so bad I can taste it), who exactly will be willing to take on a SS with fading range, an erratic arm, and a pitiful .227 average? Yes, he can hit home runs (usually he gets them in spurts and then doesn't hit one for a month), and he can drive in runs (with those spurting home runs), but other than that, what is his value? I can't believe it's much at this point.
YASNY
just realized I cannot schedule any court hearings at this hour -- damn so Jose to LA? what is your guess on that package looking like? Jason has talked of many scenarios involving LA and the Sox. I think he's right on track. Maybe PK and Jose .... for Perez and Mota and/or Itzirus (sp?). Off course, we may throw in some prospects to get all 3 guys.
Pastime
Izturis hits a lot of balls that would go off the wall or over it in any stadium except Dodger Stadium or Pro Player Stadium. I would LOVE to get him.

I got lost in all the scenarios that get posted sometimes - PK and Jose for something will be fine by me. Frank and Glod (is that is name, the guy I read so much about but can't remeber his name) can play 1st and so can CLee (I would imagine) if we ever need him and/or get another left fielder - although I am fine with CLee in left, now (I wasn't a few years ago but he has improved so much, if every Sox player improved year to year as much as CLee, we'd be fine). Pastime
GLOD? No, that's Paul Konerko, and it's spelled CLOD. You're thinking about Ross Gload, who in about 12 minor-league seasons, has never caught on in the majors. He's basically "Shane Spencer" or "Kevin Maas" minus the power. The guy will never amount to much, trust me on this. He tears up minor-league and winter-league pitching, but he's nothing special. In other words, he's on our 25-man roster next year. I would LOVE to get him. Unfortuantely now I think KW won't want him because we've already got a guy like him in Juan Uribe. I hope Aaron Miles' numbers don't skyrocket at Coors either.
