FlaSoxxJim
If Pettite's and Clemens' wives are close, then maybe it could happen. It seems like Pettite's wife was the big pusher for the move home, and I think it was Clemens' wife who was ready for him to retire and be a family man. maggsmaggs
Hopefully, he goes to Houston, anything to hurt the Cubs works for me.
DonkeyKongerko
This would be Roger Clemens if he signed with Houston: :fyou Cubs :fyou Yankees Basically makes him a White Sox fan as well.
NUKE_CLEVELAND
http://www.msnbc.com/news/1003502.asp?0dm=C12TS Clemens needs to stay retired. He's had his time & now its over. I hate seeing once great players decline and rot away like that.
YASNY
I hope he signs with them.
Pastime
Clemens, even at his advanced age, is still one of the best 25 pitchers in the NL if he comes out of retirement. His stuff is not as dominant as it once was, but it's still top notch. He would win 14-18 games with the Ass-tros if he pitched. And wouldn't that piss some North Side of Chicago fans off. Boo-yah!! It's worth that if nothing else. Just when you thought you were the "Queens" of the NL, you end up being the b****es, er, I mean bridesmaids once again. Let's say the Cubs win the NL Central, and the Ass-tros make the Wild Card. I would love to see a Clemens/Wood NLCS Game 7, where Clemens shuts the Cubs down on just 4 hits and then walks off smiling as the Cubs fans leave the Shrine crying and sobbing uncontrollably. If I were a gun salesman, I would have a tent outside and just reap in the profits. The less Cubs fans, the better the Earth is.

DonkeyKongerko
I would just as soon have the Cubs NOT in the playoffs at all. It's alot more pleasant around here when Cubs fans go into hibernation in early September.
SnB
how nice would it be to see clemen's and pettite's astros run away with the NL central this year, c'mon Roger come back!
greasywheels121
The greatest thing about this....It'd probably stop the Bankees from retiring Clemens' number, which would be the biggest farse ever.
