Mr. Showtime
OK. Colon is good, yep, we all know that. To me the best part of this trade was getting rid of Jeff Liefer. If only we could've threw in Josh Paul, that would've been a perfect day for me. The Gordon signing is one I really like. I think with him back in the AL, he could be kicking some serious ass. Glover will have to pick up some of the slack in the pen, but he should do fine. As for losing Biddle, well, I liked him from the pen. Looked real good at times, and just god awful the rest of the time. I'd like to see what Rauch can do. Before I leave you all, please just say no to Matt Ginter. witesoxfan
I'm most pysched about one thing. WE FINALLY GOT RID OF OSUNA. I think I've said that before....and am I happy. We only add $6 mill or so, though we do send some cash(it wouldn't be a White Sox trade without giving up some cash), but we get rid of Liefer and Osuna, and have to deal Biddle. I wish we could have gotten rid of Paul as well, and gotten a catcher in the A level or so....going into next season, that is our only real big weakness in the entire system, is catching....Miguel Olivo is our system's best catcher, and Alomar is decent...but that's it. God, that rolls well of the tongue...."our only weakness is..." and than after that, you don't say pitching. You say catching. This is a team that could seriously win 100 games and compete for a World Series. I think we have a shot this year guys. I think we seriously have a shot. I think we seriously have a shot. You shouldn't use the words "World Series" and refer to the Sox's at the same time. We are a much better team with Colon, but come playoff time we'll have our ass handed to us. Mr. Showtime
More thoughts.... This really hasn't sunk in yet. I don't think it really will till the first game he pitches, where he goes 8 and gives the ball to Koch.

witesoxfan
baggs....are you sure those aren't Glover's starting numbers? He isn't going to be starting with us, except maybe once a month or so, at the most...if someone goes down with an injury, we'll use Josh Stewart...if someone has to miss a start, then and only then will we go with Glover, and that will be, at most, a 5 inning start. Guest hotsoxchick1
the thing that excites me most about this trade...(sorry to see burns baby go but...) im so happy i wont have to sit by his b**** of a girlfriend tina anymore durning games......thats the best part of this trade...........i hope the new york fans eat her snooty ass apart............i may just go to new york for one of our series just to sit by her and annoy her with my talking and see if she tried to get me kicked out of my seat ............. doubleM23
Only problem with getting rid of Paul is that when Sandy Alomar inevitably falls apart on April 5th, we'll be stuck with only 1 catcher even remotely ready to handle major league pitching. LDF
my thought is can we overcome minn, i hate to talk about the sox and playoff as a thing that is certain, but i can't help it.
