Seems I've got to have a change of scene

'Cause ev'ry night I have the strangest dreams;

Gee PA, how original a lyric thread. Didn't BeGood start the last one?

that one is lame. no one ever says who the lyric is from.

mine was clearly "Rockabye" by Shawn Mullins... The worst song ever to be penned, recorded, released, and make a million bucks.

The first part of my favorite song of all time:

"I woke up this morning, and the sun was gone. Turned on some music to start my day. Got lost myself up in this song. I closed my eyes and I slipped away!"

~"More than a feeling" by Boston

These lines come from two classic rock songs.......

Steve Miller Band, "Jet Airliner":

-Riding high I got tears in my eyes

You now you got to go through hell before you get to heaven.

Eagles, "Already Gone":

-So often times it happens, that we live our lives in chains

And we never even know we have the key.

Oh, you want the Greatest lyrics ever

There's a bar, in a western bay, and it serves, a hundred ships a day. Lonely sailers, pass the time away, thinkin' about their homes . . .

Those great lyrics

And Brandy, you're a fine girl...Yea, a fine girl...What a good wife you would be...Such a fine girl! Yea, my life, my love, and my lady!

Brandy is a great song! Great choice, Tex! :headbang

So now I'm praying for the end of time

To hurry up and arrive

Cause if I have to spend another minute with you

I don't think that I can really survive

I'll never break my promise or forget my vow

But God only knows what I can do right now

I'm praying for the end of time

That's all that I can do

I'm praying for the end of time

So I can end my time with you.

You'll never see the courage I know

Its colors' richness won't appear within your view

I'll never glow - the way that you glow

Your presence dominates the judgements made on you

But as the scenery grows, I see in different lights

The shades and shadows undulate in my perception

My feelings swell and stretch; I see from greater heights

I understand what I am still too proud to mention - to you

You'll say you understand, but You don't understand

You'll say you'd never give up seeing eye to eye

But never is a promise, and you can't afford to lie

When the ebbing tide retreats

Along the rocky shoreline

It leaves a trail of tidal pools

In a short-lived galaxy

Each microcosmic planet

A complete society ......

A simple kind mirror

To reflect upon our own

All the busy little creatures

Chasing out their destinies

Living in their pools

They soon forget about the sea...

Well, when we grew up and went to school,

There were certain teachers,

Who would hurt the children in any way they could,

By pouring their derision,

Upon anything we did,

Exposing every weakness,

However carefully hidden by the kids.

But in (but in) the town it was well known,

When they got home at night,

Their fat and psychopathic wives would thrash them,

Within inches of their lives.

Wish that I had another

stab at the under cover

was it a change in mind for you?

It's impossible

I can't let it out

You'll never know

Am I selling you out?

Sit and watch

Your every mood

Your eyes still remind me of

angels that hover above

eyes that can change from blind to blue

Sitting in the corner of a room, thinkin' of you.

Wonderin' what you're doing now we're apart.

No use cryin', tears can't reach you now.

Memories, fulfilling dreams.

You used to be, so good to me,

I can't live without you.

I'd like to be, in your fantasy baby,

Part of you is me.

Walking across the clouds, hope I see you there.

Be it day or nightime, I don't really care.

Hope you see me too, before I meet my end.

Someone stole my life away, I can't pretend.

winded is the sailor...drifting by the storm...

wounded is the organ he left all...bloodied on the shore...

gorgeous was his savior, sees her...drowning in his wake...

daily taste the salt of her tears, but...a chance blamed fate...

little secrets, tremors...turned to quake...

the smallest oceans still get...big, big waves...

ransom paid the devil...he whispers pleasing words...

triumphant are the angels if they can...a get there first...

little secrets tremors...turned to quake...

the smallest oceans still get...big, big waves...

i'll decide...take the dive...

take my time...not my life...

wait for signs...believe in lies...

to get by...it's divine...whoa...

oh, you know what it's like...

turns the bow back, tows and...drops the line...

puts his faith in love and tremor christ...

Pearl Jam - "Tremor Christ", from the oft overlooked, but VERY satisfying 'Vitalogy'
