BrandoFan
I've been a pretty big Ponson fan for a few years, but why does everyone think $6 million would be a steal? I think it's a reasonable amount for him, not really too much or too little. the guy was good last season, has pitched 200+ innings and it 27, but at the same time he hasn't really done what he did this season prior. $6 million seems like a reasonable and fair price for both sides. With a 55 Mill payroll, unless Ponson pulls a Josh Beckett down the stretch, 6 Mill is about the MAXIMUM he deserves. But the market, sadly, cares very little about Sox needs and problems and stuff. 6 Mill is about as LOW as you can go. Ponsono was making about 5 last year. YASNY
Jason logic is right on the money. If we Ponson, then that opens up some flexibility on the players we can get back in a Magglio trade. My not have to have Preez, but get Mota, Jackson, Itsuriz (sp?) and whatever.
