Off to bed

Every day I wake up not being a Cubs fan is a better day than the one before.

I am a day older, but also a day wiser, a day smarter, a day more educated by life, and a day happier that I don't root for those assholes on the North Side.

I don't see the downside (besides maybe a few more lost hairs and a few more wrinkles). But I'm married, so who cares how I look anymore? I sure don't! The wife isn't exactly aging with the grace of a fine cheese or wine, so the hell with it!

:lolhitting

Sum days I wake up depressed wonderin why do I bother sumtimes when things don't go ur way, and sum days I wake up full of energy. But I think Pastime said it best when "Every day I wake up not being a Cubs fan is a better day than the one before." :)

Thats what I do every morning. Wake up hoping something happened. I remember waking up, turning on my computer and seeing that the Sox had acquired Colon.

Now when I get home from my finals I turn on the computer and hope something happenned.

COME ON SOX!!!!

I do the same damn thing, I remember last year, I woke up in the morning heard that the sox might be close to getting bartolo, had finals that day, finished my english final right away left the room and listened to my radio and hear they acquired colon, that was a great day, something needs to happen soon, I'm gettin very very unpatient like everyone else.

i remember coming home from school that day, just casually turning on ESPN and seeing on the bottomline that the sox acquired colon, i almost dropped my food. Ahh, the good ol' days.

I got home from school and went to ESPN.com where the headline read, "White Sox land Colon". I literally s*** a gold brick. I opened the article, and in my excited haste, I thought we ended up with both El Duque AND Colon! I was freaking out! I had to read the article several times before I realized that we had to give up Hernandez to get Colon.

Ah yes I remember that day well. You know it's funny cuz I usually know about the trades from this site or rotoworld before my dad but when he told me about Colon part of me still didn't believe it. For some reason I had a hard time picturing Bartolo Colon holding up a White Sox jersey at a press conference. I think that signing, no matter how mediocre it turned out to be, gave me some confidence that KW is not afraid to make a big move.
