The closest thing to a modern day Martin Luther King Jr. Tupac has only become bigger since he was murdered. Tupac helped bring the new sound of west coast rap into the suburban household. Run DMC may have been one of the originals, but in terms of accomplishment the nod goes to Pac IMO. One of the most troubling things about these rankings is that 2 Live Crew did not make it, despite being very popular, and winning one of the bigger court cases in music industry history.
