GASHWOUND
anyone disagree still??? I always liked Hinrich..enough to not bag on him until I've seen him play a good amount of minutes...Give him a chance.. Danman don't like him though.. DBAHO
Not good, Bulls up 93-80. This is a game the Magic needed to win.
BrandoFan
If only the guy had ANY firsy step quickness to beat point guards of the dribble, then he could penetrate ala Iseah Thomas and set up up looks for Crawford, Curry, Pipp, Gill and Co. I mean I;ll take John Stockton in his prime dribbling, anything.
southsider2k5
anyone disagree still??? He hustles, but still isn't worth the 7th pick in the draft. The guy has zero upside and was a panic pick by Paxson to replace JWill.

whitesoxfan99
I guess his last three games were just flukes. It happens all the time. Guys have fluke seasons, why would having three fluke games be a surprise.
WSoxShuf
Hinrich is playing very well, looks just like he did at KU. He is a great shooter, and is finally giving Crawford the oppurtunity to shine at the 2. He is alot better than motorcyle crash man.

Chisoxfn
anyone disagree still??? I've been one of the few backing Hinrich since they drafted him. Him, Chandler and Crawford are my favorite Bulls...although Crawford sucked ass tonight.
Chisoxfn
nuff said I'll tell you his upside...shutdown defensive guard...awesome passer, very effective scorer. He can hit the three, penetrate and create for others and also create his own shot. I always see guys baiting his fakes and it creates open shots. Then again everyone would say John Stockton has no upside if he entered the league today...same with Nash when he entered the league 5 or 6 years ago out of Santa Clara. I got no problem..but Hinrich will prove to be a hell of a point guard.

I couldnt have put it better myself....I see a bright future for Kirk Hinrich, He has shown soooooooooo much more in 1/4 a season than Jay Williams did all last year!!! His defensive ability and tenacity alone make him a solid player and it seems he is finely becoming comfortable and finding his outside shooting touch... I love the kid!!! I had no idea there were sooooo many anti Hinrich people on soxtalk...and if he was a stretch with the seventh pick who should we have taken instead? I would love to hear... BrandoFan
I don't know, he just can't seem to beat his man one-on-one. If he could beat a man off the dribble and penetrate at will, teams'll start double teaming him more and he'll have Chandler, Curry, Crawford/Gill and Pippen WIDE open. I would agree with you...but the fact is he is putting up solid numbers without the use of Chandler, Curry (for only the past two games), and Pippen. I dont think he will ever have the speed to beat certain PG's off of the dribble but I think he will be able to run the offense and create open shots for his teammates. Chisoxfn
I'm sure everyone else will think TJ Ford would be a better pick. Sorry, I'll take a can shoot, can pass, can play defeense against point guards or shooting guards over TJ Ford. He's quick, thats about it. Hinrich isn't super quick, but he penetrates at times. He isn't Crawford off the dribble, but very few are.

Paxson picked him as a panic move, instead of signing a cheap vet PG and using the pick on someone with higher upside. Heck don't forget Jamal was taken with the 8th pick, who would you rather have? I understand your point SS2K but who was a better potential pick in the draft? Im looking at who was drafted behind Hinrich...who would you rather have? Jarvis Hayes, Michael Sweetney, Brian Cook? I really think they took the BEST player remaining on the board! And I do agree with you Jamal Crawford was a steal at the 8th pick...Because when you look back at that draft it was EXTREMELY weak! He is arguably the best player taken in the lottery that year...

Upside wise I would have looked at Pietrus and Collison as much better picks. Sweetney never really impressed me. Brian Cook will be one of those Jerome Williams types-hardworker, not gonna get much better. Hayes at the time I doubt I would have picked over Hinrich. I would have looked hard at Lampje, and Dhantey Jones also. Granted I don't know much about the rest of the forgein players picked, but I am sure that there would have a been a couple of them on my list also. Chisoxfn
Was Bosh picked ahead of Hinrich...if not, thats the only guy I would of wanted over Hinrich. I'm a big Hinrich fan though. The move I never liked was bringing back Pippen.

Collison seems like a tall guy with no game, Lampe could eventually be good but he is really young and has played against quality talent, and Dahntay Jones!?!? is he even still in the league? Thusfar I'm happy with Hinrich and right now truly believe he was the best player available... Bosh though...he is gonna be a stud!!
