maggsmaggs
Why do we want a guy who we will have for one year and will be angry here. Doens't make sense!!
SoxFan1
I can answer that question! In my best Bostonian accent: "Cuz he's a wicked good playa!"

Soxbadger
Gammons was purely speculating Nomar's feelings on the situation. His agent and Reinsdorf are friends, who knows what might happen. Also, Gammon's said Maggs was a better player than Manny. SB
MurcieOne
If you were in his position, you wouldnt be very happy either... he turned down 60 mil and is now leaving the town from which he started his career in. He's not seeing the big picture right now. I GAURANTEE... that he will love it here, and we will love him. Still not sure KW keeps him though... doesnt seem his style. whitesoxfan99
I don't want some asshole who doesn't wanna be here, then just play like s***. Nomah wouldn't play like s*** if he came here. He has a big contract next offseason riding on playing good.
Steff
I don't want some asshole who doesn't wanna be here, then just play like s***. LOL.. now he's an asshole. Unreal.. And he's not going to play like s***. No matter where he plays he's likely to have a fantastic year.. he's playing for a contract.
Purdue129
i hope he leaves boston one way or another, then his new team's fans can cheer his name and all of Boston will finally realize the 'R' in 'Nomar' is NOT silent
WHarris1
Sorry about the asshole analogy. But if you are about to be traded, why would you say you don't wanna be there?
Flash Tizzle
I don't like this. But if it happens hopefully we'll sign Juan Gone, trade for one or two quality relievers, and get some f***ing starting pitching. Garcia for Valentine is a possibility but we're still one short; unless you believe Shoenweiss deserves a chance as a number5.....which he doesn't. Soxbadger
Nomar never even said it. The chance that Nomar personally talked to Gammon's and said: I do not want to go to Chicago, is not what happened. Gammon's was comparing Nomar's feelings of going to LA and Chicago, he has no idea what Nomar really thinks. Let Nomar speak for Nomar. You want to run a guy out of town, who is not even yet on our team, for something he probably never even said. SB
Steff
Sorry about the asshole analogy. But if you are about to be traded, why would you say you don't wanna be there? Mathew
He turned down 15 million? We sure as s*** aren't signing him beyond this year then.
mac9001
Does anyone think KW is just saying he wants to keep Nomar to drive LAs price up? If LA can't find anyone, they might just give in to that ridiculas offer.
Rex Hudler
If my boss came to me and told me I was relocating.. I'd say the same damn thing. Human nature. Exactly..... And it makes it would make it even more understandable if you had heard you were transferring to the area you are from but they spring Alaska on you! I'm not saying that Chicago = Alaska (although neither are places i would want to be in the winter lol), but the point is the same. He could have already come to grips with leaving Boston, rationalizing that going home will make things better, only to have Plan C sprung on him. No need to overreact here. quickman
Give him a shot for the fans to warm up to him and all that. that is a huge mistake, we will all be complaining that KW traded for a person who we couldn't sign. THis guy doesn't want to be there. Would you want this trade if it only for one year? Answer that then decide. I think we should trade Nomar right now if we get him. BrandoFan
well that and Mia Hamm... and her naked. I am glad I not the only one who think Mia Hamm is so hot. I don't care about her age or the big hips or lack of cleavege; she (and Katarina Witt) are dripping with womanhood and personality...Hot. :finger Sorry for the blatant thread hijacking everybody. Soxbadger
When people make up there minds it truely is amusing. Nomar has said nothing yet, Gammons speculated. Speculation. Personally Ill wait for the trade to happen, then see what I feel. Although right now I would say: Nomar for Maggs is more definite then Manny for A-Rod. If Red Sox dont get A-Rod they still might want and have to deal Nomar. SB
winninguglyin83
Dear Nomar: You know you'll enjoy it here. No Curse. No media hordes. No Yankees to trump your every move. No fans jumping off buildings after every three game losing streak. A much easier division to win to get you to October. Try it. You'll like it.
